Because 19 Years Was Long Enough.

Sorry I've been MIA, everyone; our computer died several months ago and my wife and I have been using our cell phones in lieu of dropping couple hundred on a new laptop.in all reality, I just need to pony up the dough and buy a new one. So I finally decided 19 years was long enough to wait for Squar...

Re: Rise of Mana article on Siliconera

If there is an upside to all of this, it's that Square has not allowed the Mana franchise to die. Is it on life support? Yeah, you can make that argument. However, Square's unwillingness to completely give up on the franchise and occasionally throw us a bone, however poorly developed *cough, Sword O...

Re: Duck Tales Remastered

Tyler, just think if youtube would have been around when we were kids, all of those awesome video game tricks we could do would have given us our 15 minutes of fame. A buddy of mine's younger brother could beat Mortal Kombat using only his toes. Funny stuff. Yeah, for twenty bucks it's a great deal....

Duck Tales Remastered

For $20, Duck Tales Remastered is old-school platforming bliss! Beautiful graphics, flawless controls, easy learning curve and all of the original voice actors returned to add tons of dialog throughout. Easy pick for a young, casual or retro-gamer.

Both my son and I have been listening to Rush recently. He's into 2112 at the moment but I've been enjoying the early 80's stuff quite a bit. Purists overlook this era of the band but do so to the detriment of the ears.

Re: What kind of series are you watching daily?

1. That Metal Show on VH1 Classic

2. Top Gear on BBC

3. Chasing Classic Cars on velocity

All three are showing new episodes right now and, outside of sports and old movies, that's all I watch.

Re: What games are you playing?

After playing through A link Between Worlds, I didn't play anything for several weeks. I'm currently noodling around on Need For Speed Most Wanted U and Super Mario Bros. U. By the way, the Wii U, for those of you who may not have one, has been an excellent investment for our family. My 14 year old ...

Re: A Link Between WOWS!!!!

Manaman, I'm also playing through Hero mode right now and I have to agree, the second time through is even better than the first. I've actually found a few maimais, heart pieces and even a bottle that I missed when I first played it. Hopefully Nintendo will look at the success and fan response to th...

Great gift, great story and great wife, Manaman! Let us know how Link Between Worlds goes for you, I've already professed my undying love for the game on several different threads here.

Re: A Link Between WOWS!!!!

Kefka, I sincerely hope that you'll give this game a shot. I share your distaste for Twilight Princess; I attempted to play through it and simply found the game to be maddening. I purchased the Game Cube version as I had no interest in using the nunchuk device to move, swing the sword, etc. Think of...

Re: What are you listening to right now? v2

Some online Christmas station. My wife listens to Christmas songs from October to March XD I'm a Christmas music junkie as well. I usually start watching during the week of Thanksgiving (also the same week that I start watching Christmas movies), but have to stop shortly after Christmas day. I like...

A Link Between WOWS!!!!

It's not enough to say that 'A Link Between Worlds' is a great game, it may very well be the best Zelda game I've ever played. If you haven't played it, the game is loosely structured around the SNES game 'A Link To The Past'. The map is very similar as is the general overview of the quest. The simi...

Re: The Hobbit

Kefka, Read 'The Shining', it was a quick and very enjoyable read. The Desolation Of Smaug was a little over the top in the action department and a little under-developed in the story department. My hope is that in the same way that 'The Two Towers' was made a much better movie when the extended ver...

Re: Merry Christmas 2013!

Merry Christmas to you as well! Our family drove to Baltimore on Christmas Eve for a hillarious annual party. 6 families, most with kids of varying ages, get together to spread a little holiday cheer. Santa always makes a visit and brings many, many Christmas "treasures" with him. The gift...

Re: The Hobbit

Kefka, I'm hoping to see "Smaug" sometime this week. From what I've heard so far it's supposed to be better than The Hobbit. I've also read the books numerous times and struggled with the changes/additions Jackson made in translating the story to film. That being said, I'm reading The Shin...
