Re: 3DS XL

I heard that people who bought a 3DS when they were first released felt ripped as the library of games was sub-par. I'm wondering if this will be the system that will finally see a re-release of FFVII or perhaps a proper sequel to Chrono Trigger. My money is on Circle of Mana ending up as a 3DS tit...

Re: What are you listening to right now? v2

The original lead singer of Faith No More's debut solo album from 2009. Brilliant from start to finish.

Re: concerts and parties

I usually make it to 1 concert a year (time and $ permitting). Last year I was in Baltimore to see Times Of Grace's first ever performance. This year I didn't make it to a show but am making up for it in January by going to Philadelphia to see a reunited Quicksand. I was into the East Coast Hardcore...

Re: 3DS XL

Sheexy, You are right that there is an auto save that kicks in after missions. :* I prefer being able to hit the pause button, push save and then turn a game off instantly as the auto save doesn't revert you back to your last save point if you have to quit mid-mission. The game really is fun, though...

Re: On the horizon

Nights/NIGHTS/whatever Into Dreams is amazing, Sheexy! There is a remake/sequel on the Wii which is not quite as good in some ways and a bit rough around the edges, but great fun and on a system you have access to. I second Manaman. NIGHTS is a completely different game experience and an absolute t...

Re: The Hobbit

Sheexy, It's been screened in New Zealand already and is due out in the U.S. on 12/14. I have great faith in Peter Jackson to do justice to the novel and to make a very enjoyable movie. I'm a little disappointed to see the PG-13 rating as Tolkien always intended The Hobbit to be a "kids" b...

Re: 3DS XL

So I picked up copy of Starfox 64 and am amazed at how good the 3D looks on the "big" screen. I don't like the fact that there are no save points as I rarely sit for more than 30 minutes at a time to play something like that. It is a ton of fun, however, and I really like the fact that you...

Re: On the horizon

Sony is winning right now. Playstation Plus came to the Vita. With Plus Uncharted Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Jet Set Radio, and Final Fantasy Tactics are free. Not to mention the PS3 freebies. I'm waiting on my copy of P4G. I think I'm set until Wii U comes back in stock. I want a Wii U but my onl...

Re: Secret Of Mana Sample?

Thanks, Kassidy! I remember purchasing that album 10 years ago, popping it into my CD player for the first time and going: "Whoa! That's a Howler!!!" Of course when I shared this revelation with my girlfriend at the time was slightly less than impressed... perhaps that's why she's not my w...

Re: On the horizon

I'm actually quite busy going through my backlog. (The game list found in my signature needs to be updated, too!) Nevertheless, I'm very excited about the Wii U. I'm also really excited about the 3DS XL which I would like to get. Rayman looks great on Wii U as does Mario, Nintendo Land and others t...

Secret Of Mana Sample?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GN3_NigqWs I'm a huge Peter Gabriel fan and for 10 years I've wanted to ask another Mana fan this: Did Gabriel sample the Howler for the chorus of "Darkness"? The sample is used several times, the first being at 2:29. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Re: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy

My favorite horror movie of all time reimagined. I realize that this has been around for a while but I still think it's hillarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmkVWuP_sO0 That spoof will be even funnier when you see how little it has to do with the actual film. I'm kind of a movie buff and I ab...
