Ever hear of cocoa powder? Oreos owe their color and flavor to it.
Some people prefer them dunked in milk, others like them crushed and added to ice cream.

Ah, Twinkies. Although they have the same shelf life as any other baked good (believe it or not), they're one of those snack foods that scream manufactured. I think it was on Snopes that the particular "shelf life of uranium" myth of the Twinkie was debunked.

@Kassidy: Before humans were carnivores like I said. Evolution turned us into omnivores, we also ate our meat raw before. Cooking it kills any bacteria but it also takes away from the proteins and nutrients.

Correction, we were Hunter-Gatherers...so we pretty much ate anything that we could. This has been dated back to when we were still Austrailopithicenes. Either way, we were still omnivores. 8P

The classical pizza stores are starting to disapear. It's a shame too, I really liked those fresh toppings. The new ones, don't seem to use any fresh tomatos or meat. They also don't serve wine with it any more either. Heh, I can't say that I haven't sampled it. 8)

Danny, if you say your school teach stuff that are wrong, I suggest you to change to another school. BUT, I highly doubt they are wrong. If they were wrong the parents of the children would sue the pants off the school teachers and headmaster for teaching their children wrong stuff. ("Sue the pants off" is a Chinese saying for "suing everything you own", dunno if its general in the world)

One more thing. This is a friendly advice, if you dont want people coming all over you for your words: Talk less facts. You stand for your words, but people dont give a **** of what your standings. Same thing for you not giving a **** of what other people are saying.
If you talk less facts then no topics would ever go off topic.

Sugar is good, but if you eat a lot sugar you'll get fat. Fatness is a health problem causing the heart to fail to function normally, and leads to death at young age.

Sugar is not the main ingredient to tea, it adds sweat taste to it. Nothing more. Tea taste like poo without sugar, thats correct. Chinese herb tea doesnt need sugar at all. It taste good without it

That expression is used here in the states as well. Or the alternative, "I'm taking your ass to court! I'm gonna get me a lawyer and I'm gonna squeeze yo' nuts, bubba."

Alternatively: Different people have different tastes, even things as commonplace as tea. Some can't stand the concept of sweetening teas, others can't stand the tannin flavor and use sweeteners to counter the bitterness. Why are there as many colors and varieties of beer and wine as there are Protestant denominations? Different regions, different tastes, even different ingredients. The bottom line is, it's pointless to argue over this point, particularly because this forum's members are natives of just about every continent.

I agree. We all are different people from different walks of life and therefore all have different tastes. We should just leave it at that.

Off topic: That's kind of like saying, "Stop telling us the truth! We want to live in a false fantasy world filled with lies to make us feel good!" How can you not use facts? It's what makes opinions correct or wrong. I don't care if I'm hated, I will always seek the genuine truth behind truths. - Alchemist saying.

As for my school, if you say that they are teaching the correct things, than humans were at one point only carnivores unless the school is lying which you said they aren't. It's hard to prove they are lying on topics such as that since there are lots of speculations about evolution. I believe what Charles Darwin wrote about it though, school is based on his concepts, I hope and think. We should really stop getting off topic though. I don't like being provoked to write such things as I usally regret it. Not my opinions but any possible rudeness. Non the less, you guys are right so I won't argue anymore. Different tastes, different opinions. I guess that ends that discussion. It's about time to.

Back on Topic: I didn't say we should stuff our face with sugar but we do need it for energy. Same with salt, we need small amounts of it each day to regulate our joint movements. There have been some people that have actually died from a lack of salt. Salt is the only way we can ingest sodium and cloride which is extremely harmful by itself. Too much sugar and salt is bad though and there have been more deaths because of excess amounts of it in our bodies rather than not enough. As for tea, most do require sugar to give it a drinkable taste (it doesn't even need to be sweet, it can just negate the bitterness) while some don't require sugar at all.

I'm not telling to you not to tell the truth. It's that most of what you say always leads off topic. That's why you feel like people are against you.

On note getting on topic, you never got back on topic. Originally these was a thread about food. You posted about sugar and salt, not that's it is off topic, but it's not what you posted about in the beginning in this thread.

I know I told you that we would be lesser stricter, but we cant let it have your way all the time. If you could talk about stuff that dont lead off topic, then it would be better

Good point Deques, I see what you mean now. Although it's not really "everyone" that I think is against me... It's more around the lines of two people. It's pretty obvious who if you look at the comments made towards me. I thought that sugar and salt thing was related to the food topic?

I guess by summing up my point, the things I most want to see in stores now are Fanta (original European ones), Ryo (Romanian drink), camembert (Danish and Swiss one), beef jerky (Brazilian one) and traditional Italin pizza. I can't really think of any thing else now.

I feel sorry for those 2 people. They must be great heroes ^_^

Anyways back to topic. Does M&M count as classic "food" btw? Or candy in general?

I actually like those two people, they just seem to not like me...

*Ahem* Anyways, any old food, drinks or snack is on topic. Feel free to mention anything thing classic you eat or drank and liked. I named the topic "classic foods" because just about anything that can be injested counts as food. I didn't make this up, I heard it for real!

I like the peanut or all-chocolate M&Ms better than the rice/crispy ones. The crispy stuff is mostly air that just disappears when you eat the M&M, which makes it appear like you're not eating much at all.

Liquorice is eaten in Sweden too, isn't it? I know it's pretty rare outside northern Europe.

I like the peanut ones to :D

Liquorice candy is very usual here. They are kinda found everywhere and in everything. I personally don't like it ._.
