If I eventually cave in and get an iPad, this makes me happy. If I don't, I'll be unhappy.

Kassidy, the iPad is a really nice device. I hardly use my laptop anymore!

I personally wouldn't buy and iAnything but I think it's great that Secret of Mana is seeing light on other platforms instead of being stuck on the SNES.

@manaman: Yep, it is very shiny. So so tempting....

@DeadWolf: Agreed on that level, but at the same time I can't help but feel frustrated that there is a lack of dedication to releasing such a port on the DS, say, or something which, let's be honest, is more accessible. Especially considering the release of two other titles in the WoM series on DS, I would have thought they'd look to continue on that platform, with the promising outlook that is the 3DS on the horizon too...

I think it's being released on the iPhone because it is a port of a phone port from Japan. I'm still optimistic that we'll see a true update of the game launch on a Nintendo device in the future. For now, I think they decided to stick with a phone release and the iPhone is the logical choice for most western audiences.

As for the iPad, if you have any questions about it, I'd be happy to share my experience with it. I am serious when I say that it has been my main computing device since getting it. Obviously I don't do all my computing on it, but I use it for web surfing, gaming, personal information management and even some document creation. It's been great.
