Yeah, i've this idea for a long time and now it comes real !
With the help of sprite i've found arround the web, i've decided to start simple, with this little Rabite (From SoM)
1. Report the pic onto a sheet
2. Numerate each color
3. Buy the right color's mosaic

What you will (normally) have :

BEFORE

AFTER

In this case, it's just put, not stick yet.
I'll post new pics when i've totally finsihed.

Waiting for your first impressions :)

Hahaha! That is the best!

Man, where are you gonna put that? That would look so cool anywhere!
I've gotta make one of those!

Where exactly did you get the tiles?

Normally mosaic goes on ceramic, but i don't have.. i'll try on wood ('hope to be the same "good realism")
For the tiles i've found on a specialized shop (Ok 'it's gonna didn't help you.. )

For more informations (and in english) i've found the idea which make me realize this rabite here, it's a good example very detailled. Hope you find your happiness ! :D

Sticken !
(Long long time to finish)
Now, maybe i put a background color to "harmonize" with it and also making a border.

That's excellent. I'm sorely tempted to give it a go at some point.

Just check your local art supply stores? I'm sure they've got crafting kits for stuff like this... just have to look outside the "paper and pens" sections.

That looks cool, although I'm not sure if I could be buggered doing it myself. :D

Or use Legos.

Either way, that is really cool.

Lego could be a plan. I think you could make some cool table-mats and coasters with this idea though. For the coasters the pieces might have to be smaller though, but I'll give it some thought.
