Brownie Brown is a game development studio funded by Nintendo which opened up in 2000. Among the people working at Brownie Brown there are many of the artists from Legend of Mana, and the studio was founded by two people who worked on the various Seiken Densetsu games on Gameboy and Super Nintendo.

They currently have their own RPG series running which started with "Magical Vacation" which was only released in Japan on the GameBoy Advance. The sequel "Magical Starsign" (Magical Vacation: When the Five Stars Align), however, was released in English on the DS. The series features art which is very similar to that of the Seiken Densetsu series due to the people who worked on it. One of their other recent endeavors was working on Mother 3.

As far as the Mana series goes, Brownie Brown may have left Square but they still get to work with them on the series. Sword of Mana was created by Brownie Brown and released by Square-Enix. The mascot for the Brownie Brown company appears in Sword of Mana and gives you a very rare item if you can find him. More recently Brownie Brown is working on Heroes of Mana.
