I dont recognize any of the music from the previous games. Shimomura-san sure doesnt want to use old material

Nope, none at all. The tracks are stylized after tracks from SD3, and she's kept to the themes already established for different areas of the world, but bringing new material to them. You can hear some similarity to LoM, of course. It's very nice indeed.
