This morning, Sheexy caught me off guard and surprised me. Mind you, I was still waking up, and having headphones on at full blast didn't help at all from last night's gaming experience.
Sheexy:
So I am in Japan right now

James:
OH SH*T

Sheexy:
I know right?

James:
ITS YOU

Sheexy:
YA
FOR REALS

James:
updates plz?

Sheexy:
Gotta e-mail my mom.
Can;t stay toolong
This computer is hard to use.

James:
k

Sheexy:
Plus it is late.
So far I have had two classes
TEasy stuff

James:
うはwwwwww japanese keyboards.

Sheexy:
My host mother speaks ZERO English.
But I am managing,

James:
:O

Sheexy:
We somehow manage to communicate well
Like, we talk about tons of stuff
Iro Iro, various things

James:
uh.
k

Sheexy:
Today we talked about sounds animals make
Random junk
Anyways
School is pretty easy, quiz tomorrow I gotta study for
I bought Heroes of Mana and a Dawn of Mana book for like 30 bucks

James:
english?

Sheexy:
Nah.
Super cheap though compared to the states or the internet.
It:ll help me learn more

James:
ok i'll post this convo on seikens for you, save you some time

Sheexy:
Ah, ok
Cool cool.
Um lemme
see
I live like two blocks away from Inu Yama castle, the oldest castle in Japan
Haven:t had time to go though.
Tons of stuff to do
Went to Universal Studios Japan and that was weird, tons of Sesame Street, E.T. and Hello Kitty stuff.
Pretty fun though, way too Westernized though.
Sunday night there was a huge party at my house, I met a guy who owns a Radio station that is like two houses away, it was his birthday.
He was pretty cool, everyone in Inu Yama knows him.
My host mother did a Shodo (Japanese Caligraphy) demonstration, and there was a Japanese Jazz singer and a Jazz player (he played guitar), and also a Japanese guy who played Irish folk songs.
It was crazy.
So much food.
These are the things you gotta know about Japan:
There is food EVERYWHERE and everyone shares, but the food comes in small amounts.
There is a cute mascot for EVERYTHING
Sometimes two.
And I guess that is all you need to know?

James:
beer in vending machines?

Sheexy:
So many vending machines.
They sell everything in vending machines.

James:
seen the ipod one?

Sheexy:
Not yet.

James:
bought that pokeman yet?

Sheexy:
I bought that in the states.
Pokemon posters are all over though XD

James:
you said you was gonna buy some pokeman in japan, rigte?
right*

Sheexy:
Oh yeah, gonna buy my sister some cards as a joke.

James:
anyone made fun of your southern accent yet?

Sheexy:
Oh yeah, I think I am gonna be in my town newspaper here.

James:
hahaha XD

Sheexy:
No, accents don:t really stand out in Japanese.
English ones anyways.
Dude
I:m already speaking it pretty fluently with my host mother, it is pretty awesome.

James:
did you have to use english anywhere?

Sheexy:
She doesn:t hardly know any.
Very few words.
I draw pictures to help it along XD

James:
hahaha XD
You haven't had to eat like alot of seafood, have you?

Sheexy:
So much seafood.

James:
Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeck.
I wouldn't be able to eat anything over there.

Sent at 9:47 AM on Tuesday

Sheexy:
Alright, I gotta go man.

James:
ok man
good luck with living in the future

Sheexy:
Gotta study for this quiz. Too much Kanji to learn. I probably won:t be back for a while, unless you:re on late or something.
Or is it early now?
Oh well

James:
it's 10 am

Sheexy:
Xd

Ok gotta go, see you.

James:

Hey hey, I love seafood!

I bought Heroes of Mana and a Dawn of Mana guidebook. I gotta say, I'm sad at how few enemies crossed over into the 3D realm.

Anyways, stuff is so crazy here.

Today when I went to school like three teachers came up to me with newspapers, and they were like "Look! You're famous!" And there in the Inu Yama section was a picture of me with my host mother and the musicians and other people from the party.
I didn't get my name in there, but there is at least a picture of me XD

My next goal is to get onto a Japanese TV show XD

Anyways, I'll catch y'all later. I've gotta get to studying and such. Exam tomorrow.

Man, Japan is such a busy place, but it is so fun! So many weird outfits and such XD

As a bonus, here are a few pictures:

:hof:Here is the picture of me that is in the newspaper. That is me in the top left, Jazz player in front of me, Jazz singer next to him. Behind the singer is a nice lady who is married to the official looking dude. It was his birthday, and he is like everyone's hero in Inu Yama, he owns a radio station like six houses away. My host mother is the old woman in the middle. Dunno who that other lady is XD The guy above her is a Japanese Irish folksong singer (?!) and the dude on the very right has an awesome mullet.

:hof:Returning home late one night, I ran into Shin Chan. He is warning about kids or something, I dunno.

:hof:Those little fish taste just like Jerky. This was part of my dinner tonight.

:hof:Here is the ultimate proof I am in Japan.

Alrighty, I'll get more pictures on the site later, gotta go do crazy stuff or something.

See y'all!

Lalala tons of stuff happens and you just don't know what to do in Japan.

Lost on a train, whatever, going shopping in a mall that has a giant shrine right next to it. Crazy fashion, never know what is going on XD

Watched some Ukai, where the fishermen use Cormorants as fishing lines, the birds get the fish and the guys make the birds puke them up. Kinda weird but cool.

Too much to mention.
Late night, running around with a friend of mine who had a mask on and was freaking out local Kyoto people, tons of fun. The people loved it, just like the stuff you see on TV.

Seiken Densetsu collection is growing, and I haven't even really begun my search yet.

Two Dawn of Mana guides (big and small)
Heroes of Mana
Dawn of Mana and Children of Mana art book from a friend (Seriously amazing thing, I didn't even know it existed)
Princess of Mana sucks sucks sucks but that's ok because it cost two bucks

Gotta pick up some CDs and I'm good.
Gonna hit up the bookstore again, when I searched for Seiken Densetsu on their computers tons of stuff came up... gotta figure out how many things are actually in stock.

Gonna have to find some really old bookstore for some of the last things I need for my collection.

Tons of funnnnnn

This computer is hard to use.
Imagine my frustration when I needed the underscore on a Japanese keyboard.

Shin-chan's saying "Don't jump in front of <heavy vehicles>!" Looks like it might have been swiped from a traffic crossing.
Fish tasting like bacon = you're on your own, man.
