I just got back from watching this and I gotta tell you:

I cried manly tears... =(

As popular as this movie is I think I'll wait for the Bluray. Theaters aren't fun when all you can hear is the shuffling of popcorn.

As far as a movie making me cry I don't think anything will top Seven Pounds. I bawled at the end of that.

I went to see this today. Absolutely epic movie - reminded me why I love Pixar. The animated short was cool tool. I even thought of this tread when I left! The kid atmosphere wasn't too bad but I kept thinking that only the older kids or adults were the only one's getting some of the humor....

I know right!?

Probably because Pixar made Toy Story 3 and the short for their old audiences who're all grown up now.

It's very possible. And, I thought the following was interesting as I heard something like it this morning:
Young adults, typically not a big audience for animated films, also played an important role. Disney said “Toy Story 3” drew 40 percent of its nonfamily audience from people ages 17 to 24: the group that grew up with Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the other characters from the franchise.

Pixar are still the kings! So far not a single bad movie yet... those guys are truly amazing

/me has no plans on seeing this, following the long tradition of not watching Toy Story films.
