The Remixes page is back in action, and in perfect timing (gee golly what a coincidence, huh?), as a new Seiken Densetsu remix has just been posted on OCRemix: Starlight Festival – Kiamet, a wonderful solo piano rendition of Powell from Seiken Densetsu 3 that brings across a sense of urgency through its Latin influence in style. The playing is very precise and includes some very nice harmonies and added textures on top of the original melody. The sound quality is exceptional.
Another Monday full of music, and with a site update to boot!
The following remixes have been added to our remix section, which was falling a bit behind (my bad, sorry). These have been contributed by the good old people at OCRemix.
You’ll be able to find them easily on the pages for FFA, SoM and SD3 as they have the icon next to them.
FFA
‘Chivalry Begins’ by Big Giant Circles
SoM
‘Things We Didn’t Know’ by Vampire Hunter Dan
‘Step Off My Flower Bed’ by Nase
‘Sea/Sky’ by Ziwtra
SD3
‘Aurora Borealis’ by Rozovian
I’ve picked out this one in particular, Step Off my Flower Bed, by Nase, simply because there’s so much going on in the remix, you should listen to it several times and will keep picking up more as you revisit it.
A small update to kick start the year off, you can now see a comparison between the GameBoy and Mobile versions of Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure), detailing the differences between the two versions of the game as well as screenshots of a handful of scenes side by side.
And while we’re on topic, we encourage you to head on over to sign the online petition to bring Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure) to a home console.
The gallery has navigation now, I dunno why it wasn’t there before, but now we have a breadcrumb trail up top and previous and next links when you’re looking at single images.
The FFA scans aren’t new, but I’m sure there is someone who hasn’t been around the Final Fantasy Aventure section, and now they’re located in a more convenient place.
The Final Fantasy Adventure Gallery has gotten a nice update, now you can find all of the boss art that exists for the game. It’s all in there and cleaned up to the best of my attention span.
Of special note are the Megapede and the Dragon Zombie who were really, really fun to clean up. I hate you two guys.
Also, everything in the FFA gallery is also more orderly now. Characters, Enemies and Bosses are all in groups together so it is easier to browse through them together.
So, the Merchandise section update hasn’t gotten underway yet… I had planned to have it ready for Christmas, but it looks like it is gonna have to happen later, really busy this holiday.
Right now there is not much here, but we hope the addition of this section will attract lots of new fan submissions to the site. Right now it is basically just links to other parts of the site… fan galleries and music.
That’s all for now, we’ll keep you updated on further additions to the Fansection and Kaze’s comic. There is no button for the fan section yet, but it will be on the side bar shortly.
Coming up on Seikens: Final Fantasy Adventure section overhaul! Check back soon for new bosses and items scans!
Comments Off on Updates! Fansection, Kaze’s Comic and FFA Characters
I stumbled across an interesting set of blog articles over on a blog called Game Design Reviews which analyse aspects of Sword of Mana that failed to impress and paled against the game it was trying to “take to a new level”. A very interesting read.
Well this is kind of late, but better late than never.
Also maybe y’all haven’t finished watching all of the old ones, haha, these things are pretty long!
Join Captain Duck for his exciting conclusion of “Let’s Play Final Fantasy Adventure”!
You may wonder why in a site that is about Seiken Densetsu series is posting anything about the Final Fantasy series. But it does have something with Seiken Densetsu to do. FF Retrospective is about the Final Fantasy franchise in video form. Each week GameTrailer is posting a new video about the series, and will end after 13 parts. In this part, the tenth, you will see a short report about the very first game of Seiken Densetu. The game that started the series. Sheexy will probably love this, since it’s his favourite game of the series.
Indeed! Let us all play Final Fantasy Adventure, my favorite game in the Seiken Densetsu series!
Oh wait, what if you don’t have the game, or are too lazy to play? Then there is another solution!
Captain Duck to the rescue!
A neat guy who goes by Captain Duck has taken it upon himself to play through Final Fantasy Adventure and narrate it! The videos are really fun and I definitely recommend it! There is a lot of fun information in these videos, and the dude has a pretty killer accent!
So far there are five videos up, when more come out I’ll keep you updated!
