- You were just complaining about having to do this update.

- Hey, shut up! Today we’ve got a special guest. A Gremlin. Mr. Gremlin, why are you here today?

- Because you thratened to kill me if I didn’t help out.

- My, I do love the Sword of Mana Four Panel Comics. I would buy it. Definitely.

- And that is why I am here! For a limited time this comic book is 25% off! Inside you’ll find a plethora of neat comics involving characters and monsters from Sword of Mana. Mana Music Monday

Posted on January 5th, 2009 by Sheexy Filed under Mana Music Monday

I picked out this track about a month ago for Mana Music Monday, but I can’t remember why I picked it.

Anyways, Faith Total Machine from SD3 by Hiroki Kikuta is pretty cool. I really like how they had so many boss tracks in SD3.

Get the Flash Player to see the wordTube Media Player.

Hiroki Kikuta churns out the albums!

Posted on January 5th, 2009 by Kassidy Kearey Filed under Soundtracks

KassidyOne of our favourite composers here at Seikens, Hiroki Kikuta, has just released over the course of the past couple of months 3 new albums of material:

Nice Life as Wife (OST of Niisuma wa Sailor Fuku)
Love Relaxation (OST of Sakura Relaxation)
In the Sky, on the Water (OST of Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro)

All of these are music from previously released games, but haven’t been released as albums before. They are music from his days of composing for eroge games (if you don’t know what that means, you probably shouldn’t be looking it up), not too long after his work for Square on the Seiken Densetsu soundtracks. The second track from Love Relaxation sounds remarkably similar to Colour of the Summer Sky.

KassidyClearly not satisfied with kicking off the year with one update, I’ve decided to launch another today. The page has been in the works a while now, and will still be after this, but I figured it’s ready for the first release. So head on over to our Secrets of Secret of Mana page, and discover/rediscover all those curious glitches, bugs and hidden elements that help to make it such a well loved game.

More to come soon (I just need to write it all up and make it look pretty)!

Sheexy’s Shopping Channel 4 - New Year’s

Posted on January 1st, 2009 by Sheexy Filed under Shopping

- Hey everybody, Happy New Year’s! Mr. Moti and I are here to bring you the first good deals of 2009! Everyone else said they wanted to take today off, but Mr. Moti and I resolve to never miss a Shopping Channel update this year!

- With 52 more chances to miss an update, that resolution isn’t looking too good!

- Well, thank you for that vote of confidence Mr. Moti.

- Next time speak for yourself when making resolutions for people.

- Ok, what do you want your resolution to be?

- To dance all year!

- That’s been your resolution since 1991 my friend. And remember how you look in Dawn of Mana and Children of Mana? There was no dancing there! There wasn’t even any selling!

- Those were dark times in my life, I’m going back to how it was, back in the good ol’ days!

- You’re a good man.

- You’re still going to fail at your resolution.

- Hey man, c’mon that hurts.
But you know what doesn’t hurt, Mr. Moti?

- What’s that, Sheexy?

- My wallet.
And that’s because I’m always looking for great deals on Seiken Densetsu merchandise, like this Sword of Mana 2 Disc Soundtrack or this Legend of Mana 2 Disc Soundtrack. Both of them are priced at under 20 dollars, with shipping included!

- For more great deals, keep reading!

A small update to kick start the year off, you can now see a comparison between the GameBoy and Mobile versions of Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure), detailing the differences between the two versions of the game as well as screenshots of a handful of scenes side by side.

And while we’re on topic, we encourage you to head on over to sign the online petition to bring Seiken Densetsu (Final Fantasy Adventure) to a home console.

MMM - Infant of Mana

Posted on December 29th, 2008 by Sheexy Filed under Mana Music Monday

Seeing as New Year’s is in a few days, I decided to pick Infant of Mana from Children of Mana for this week’s Mana Music Monday update. I chose this because of baby New Year or something.

That’s a pretty dramatic tune, isn’t it? Here’s to hoping next year doesn’t take after this track.

Koichi Ishii No Longer with Square-Enix

Posted on December 27th, 2008 by Kassidy Kearey Filed under Square-Enix

message.pngKassidyBrowsing around this afternoon I stumbled through the article on Wikipedia for Koichi Ishii, and it states that, at least since October, he has left Square-Enix’s Team 8 to dedicate his time to Grezzo, his own gaming development company.

Now have I been living under a rock for the past 3 months? Is this just an unfounded rumour, as I can’t find anywhere else that mentions anything about it?

Do any of you have any information on the whereabouts of Koichi Ishii?

Answers on a postcard…

Sheexy’s Shopping Channel 3 - Christmas

Posted on December 26th, 2008 by Sheexy Filed under Shopping

- It’s the day after Christmas and for today’s Sheexy’s Shopping Channel we’ve got Mr. Moti and Santa here!

- Hohoho, Merry Christmas!

- So how was this Christmas year for you Santa?

- Well Sheexy, to be honest a lot more people were naughty this year.

- I hear that’s because so many people were hoping to get coal for Christmas. Y’know, clean burning coal?

- …Sheexy, did you steal that joke from the news?

- …no… maybe.

- Hohoho, maybe you should have asked for new material for Christmas this year!

- Shut up.

- Hohoho, I know someone who is getting coal next year.

- Clean burning coal?

- Hoho no.

- Dangit.
Anyways onto shopping, starting off I’m happy to announce the price on this Children of Mana Rabite Screen Cleaner has dropped like ten dollars. Just remember, it’s kind of small for that price. But if you love Rabites you might want to go for it.

- If you love Legend of Mana you’ll love the LoM Ultimania Guide! At 595 pages, you cannot find a more in depth guide for this game. It is all in Japanese, but maybe you can still get some use out of it.

- Err, those are like the only two things worth mentioning today.

- Hohoho, that’s because I bought up all the good deals to deliver to good little boys and girls!

- For more deals check out last week and the week before that’s Shopping Channel updates, as many of those deals are still available.

- Yeah, sorry for the lack of good links, hopefully next week there will be more new stuff listed.

- Merry Christmas!
