Tsuyoshi Sekito is one of the two main composers for Dawn of Mana, the other composer being Kenji Ito who this weekly feature covered two weeks ago.  Dawn of Mana is not the first time for these two to work together, in 2005 Tsuyoshi Sekito worked as an arranger and performer for Romancing Saga- Minstrel Song- which Kenji Ito composed for.

Tsuyoshi Sekito has more recently helped to compose, arrange and perform in Final Fantasy VII Advent Children, and arranged Final Fantasy III on DS.  He has also arranged the music for Chrono Trigger’s rerelease on the PlayStation.  One of his most notable older works was composing the music for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake in 1990 (Not to be confused with Metal Gear Solid 2 : Sons of Liberty released in 2001).  He has also composed the music for various Ninja Turtle games, Brave Fencer Musashi, Chocobo’s Mysterious Dungeon II, Front Mission Online and the All-Star Pro Wrestling game series among others.

Perhaps his most notable role is that of a guitarist in the Japanese instrumental rock band The Black Mages.  The group consists of many Square-Enix composers and performers and they have released two albums consisting of rock versions of Final Fantasy Music.  The band has only done two concerts of their own but can usually be found to attend Final Fantasy related concerts.
