Sorry for any inconvenience!
– Hey everyone, we’re back with great deals! I’d like to start this update off by again bringing up the great store run by japan-ssdyuk!
– They are truly a master merchant.
– That they are, just look at these amazing deals they’ve got! The Legend of Mana Ultimania Guide for 99 cents! The Legend of Mana Manga complete set for around 9 dollars a piece! And the best deal of the bunch: The Seiken Densetsu 3 Prologue Book complete with the cards and stickers for only 99 cents!
– What a deal, it’s practically a steal!
– No rhyming.
– Aww.
– It might seem expensive, but this Seiken Densetsu 3 Test ROM is actually around 200 dollars cheaper than you would normally find it. This is also a great deal on the usually expensive Seiken Densetsu Cartridge, Box and Manual.
– I might not be allowed to rhyme, but you can’t keep the rhythm from me, I’m pushing CDs! In order now, Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3,
Legend of Mana, Sword of Mana, Dawn of Mana and Heroes of Mana! The ones that are over 20 dollars aren’t really the best deal, but I just wanted to list all the games. No Children of Mana though, you have to go to iTunes for that!
– And to wrap it all up, a random assortment of items. A Sword of Mana Postcard, or a Poster instead. And also this Seiken Densetsu 3 Guide that I have never seen before. That would make a great Christmas present for me.
– I don’t think your parents read your website.
-Yeah, probably not. Anyways, see you all next week for the Christmas Eve update! Definitely by that point, and probably by this point you won’t get stuff in time for the Holidays, but I dunno cause shipping always surprises me!

Word to the wise, those cheap soundtrack discs being sold out of Hong Kong are guaranteed to be bootlegs. 99% of the time if you see a cheap Japanese game soundtrack, it’s because it’s from a pirate record label. Think twice and always ask your seller!

Maybe I should stop linking CDs just to be safe. Cause it’s hard to tell on eBay.

It’s not true in every case, I have gotten some legit out of print CDs from Hong Kong in the past. But it’s not just Hong Kong you have to watch out for either… The legend of mana soundtrack from California is a bootleg, the Ever Anime label is a dead giveaway.

Thanks for the heads up on that one Tekka, if you know any other things to watch out for let me know.

There are loads of bootlegging companies. =/ It can be quite tough to spot them all… SonMay and Ever Anime are the most common ones though.
Here’s a short List, and there may very well be more I don’t know of.
SonMay (SM)
Ever Anime
Miya Records
Alion
Archer Records
Golden Diamond Music
fx
K
And then there’s an even bigger list of DVD bootleggers.

I didn’t look at all of them, heh… yesh, Ever Anime is one you see a lot of on ebay, and I’ve seen tons from that particular seller. Certainly you should look for more than just where something is being sold, but it’s very infrequently that you’ll find anyone from China selling you anything that’s for real. There are certainly exceptions, and not every Chinese seller is a crook, but most of them are. PlayAsia is one of the few good online retailers selling from Hong Kong.
