Rabites in terranigma?

I found an image in internet with a thing that looks like a rabite in Terranigma it was called yomi or something.

Yomi is a creature that guides the main character some of the time. It looks like this:

You can't really tell from this picture, but the things at the sides are little wings, which it uses to hover over the MC when it appears.

So, it's not all that much like a rabite really, unless you want to include anything that is round and has two ears.

anyway, Yomi is not related to Rabites.
