Hey guys, i've been wondering, I saw some of you like kung fu, bruce lee, chinese movies and stuff. But do you follow the new chinese cinema ??
I do (as best as i can from teh faraway Brazil...), and i can say no one , nowadays, can overcome the master-chinese-director Zhang Yimou.
From the visual poetry of "Hero", to the touching "Enter the Red Lanterns", going through the outstanding love-kungfu "House of the Flying Daggers", Zhang Yimou is a genious that was recognised after the rebirth of chinese cinema with Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
Yesterday i watched his latest movie - the Curse of Golden Flower. and i gladly became breathless. This guy became a master of using colors and made chinese movies (for me) the top of the world.
Anyone has watched it? Or other movies ?
