Random Mana Rhyme

I got bored at work and drafted this out....



If any wish was mine to take, I think I'd have to choose
To own the Mana Fortress and then blast the world in two.
The flying fort of villainy; doom fortress with great style
Filled to the brim with terrifying creatures strong and vile.
All the monsters and the lasers would be all mine to command
And I'd wear an awesome costume with spiked gloves upon my hands
And I’d fly around the world and spread destruction where I pass
I’d blow up all the villages and let loose an evil laugh
And I’d look good while I’m at it; I’d have flowing lilac sleeves
That completely conceal both my arms, and shiny metal greaves
And silver armor upon my chest, a long robe around my waist
Gold trimming at the edges, and then finally my face
Obscured behind a spooky mask, the visage of a skull
With ashen bone and golden horns that grow out sharp and tall
I’d wear my hair down and grow it long, and maybe dye it too,
Perhaps a wicked shade of purple, I think that would suit the blue
And fiery red and fiendish green of the henchmen I would keep
And the four of us would rule the world and make the people weep
Of course being a villain this means I would have no qualms
With turning traitor and then striking down my once-brothers in arms
If they were boys or girls I wouldn’t care, I’d still fashion the right time
To kill off the useless lot of them and make the Fortress mine,
Because the world only needs one overlord, and I don’t like to share
And my right to rule the world’s secured by my stunning purple hair.
And there would be no end to my amusement, my hairdo or my spite
The whole world will be enveloped with a cruel unending night…
But of course there would be those who’d seek to end my flair
They’d thwart my plans and kill my troops and infiltrate my lair
And at the very end I’d stand, my evil plans undone
And I must admit the prospect of defeat is not much fun
So I’d take my stand, take off my mask and play my final card
And fight those accursed heroes with all my evil undead heart
But we all know how this would play out, these things always end the same
I’d be beaten by a hero with an insipid nonsense name
But the final humiliation that I think would drive me wild,
Is that the one that brings my downfall is a headband-wearing child!


Now the problem is, I never write poetry. It's THAT quiet in here today. Someone kill me, please!

Yeah, that tends to happen when you spend two hours writing something and then realize AFTER that you made an idiot of yourself. I'm pretty good at that.

You're nigh-immortal, have a country at your beck and call and you command what looks like a flying brussels sprout with doom lasers. I can understand why he'd feel particularly like preening himself in front of a mirror.

Shoulda thrown in something about Thanatos wanting to steal himself a new body, but it was fun regardless. XD

Well yeah... Thanatos is kinda one of my fave villains... and for good reason too. I mean think about it. I also adore Thanatos. Top bloke.

His theme music is super creepy, and even though it's horrendously easy, I love fighting the Dark Lich as well. The music and the atmosphere of the battle are wonderful, though it doesn't quite have the sense of urgency that the mana beast battle has.

The me now would never grow to like him though, it's a throwback to the days when I was all about villains. The memories and feelings are still there but eh... These days I rarely get to like any of them... I've been poisoned by goodness. I'm hoping that one day I'll have a relapse... Then I can abandon all this gooey love nonsense I've fallen for.

I suppose that's why Thanatos and Guren are particularly special to me.

*camera cuts to Thanatos greedily snatching several boxes of pocky*

What? Taking over the world is hungry work! And I already ate those orphans I was supposed to save for dinner...

*cough* Yes I'm at work and bored again...

Speaking of SD3, I remember my elation - and bitter disappointment - playing through... I was convinced that Thanatos was going to make a comeback. What with all the demon, underworld ruler, soulless LICH talk flying around. To the point that I even blueprinted my own character for SD3 that would include Thanatos in the storyline but I'll embarrass myself with that some other day.

Maybe if I'm bored enough I'll write another piece. Maybe I'll do one on Neko!

I'll title it, "I'm a Furry Little Jerk And Nobody Loves Me". 5000GP for a Needle Helm, pffft.

Aw nevermind. At least you still get the Dark Lich in SD3... though he's put on a bit of weight since SOM. So mabye it is Thanatos... after consuming all that pocky. Fat bastard.

about this poetry stuff, there is no limitation. I too have some poems that I think are bad, but my master said that everyone has their own style in making poetry.

As a note, poems made for the writer's satisfaction., so it's no matter what your 'audiences' will say.

even I have read a poem only made from 2 words, "kasih" and "kawin", and started with "sih-ka"
the poet himself knows the meaning of his works, amazing.

Anyway, keep on writing. they may say it's a rambling, but words are writer's soul.
