With them online, I believe we have most of our content for Heroes of Mana restored.
Archive for the ‘Heroes of Mana’ Category
We never realised that our content for Heroes of Mana have been gone. A user in The Mana Series Discord told us that the pages were gone. We have since then been working on restoring the pages. Luckily we have backup so we could restore most the pages. Some content are missing. Kassidy, who made the content, is looking into his backups. When those content are found we will restore them as well.
For now I have restored some pages. Some require more work to restore, since they are using old HTML tables. I am updating the content so that they won’t be using these old school tables anymore. Hopefully we have everything restored soon!
After not touching the Heroes of Mana section for a while (sorry), I’ve finally gotten round to typing up all the Finger Equipment (rings, nails, etc etc) that you can get in the game, descriptions and effects. And I will be working on the section further as time permits.
I know I’ve used this one before a couple times, but it’s cold out! And it’s only going to get colder, because this week I’m going snowboarding with some friends.
Happy New Year everyone, hope yours is starting off nice!
A Cold Beat – Yoko Shimomura – Heroes of Mana
Y’know, I really love the music in Heroes of Mana, I think it might have some of the best music in the series.
Not much else to say, other than I hope you enjoy the music!
Tale of the Old Nostalgic Kingdom – Yoko Shimomura
Things have been slow of late, I know. And there have been many reasons for it, most of which you already know. It boils down to the reason I chose this Konata avatar, basically: I’m knackered. It’s 4:30am here, and I’m at work, and I’m still another day away from finishing my week, which like the one before, is 72 hours long. This combined with a very hard time trying to sleep during the day makes for a very tired Kassidy, with not much energy to work on stuff.
But that doesn’t mean that I have given up, no sir. I have plans, and I one of those is the plan to get the others done. I’m not going to promise it’s going to be fast, but I’ll get there. I’ll freely admit, the lack of interest in the World of Mana arc hasn’t help to inspire devotion to coverage, but here at Seikens we aim to provide the best coverage of every game in the series, and we’re damned well going to do that.
So what’s next? Well, we have on the burner several section update, which will be appearing as soon as we can churn them out, a new series of articles in the line, and if somehow someone over at Square decides that, indeed, they are going to give this overlooked series some serious love, we’ll be bringing the news to you as soon as we snag a copy of the press.
My mindless babble aside now, the update for today is relating to Heroes of Mana. As part of the game, one accumulates Records of the events taking place in the game, and these have now been compiled together and are available over in the Heroes of Mana section, under Records. You should be advised, spoilers are a-plenty, but so is some in-game artwork, so weigh it up and work it out.
On the down side though is Sheexy’s brief hiatus, but don’t worry, he’ll be back, even if it means me dragging him back screaming and tying him to a chair while shouting “you WILL generate site content!” myself. All the best of luck with exams and clearing out the swamped-ness.
That’s all from me for now.
The guy who played the sword man in this video actually came and posted on the boards.
I get the sinking feeling that I’ve been working too much on Heroes of Mana content. Proof of it is the following excerpt from a conversation with Sheexy tonight…
Sheexy: I’m gonna delete all the older songs
Kassidy: Roget that
Sheexy: haha XD
Sheexy: hahah XD
Kassidy: That was completely by mistake
Sheexy: It was completely awesome XD
And where is said content, you ask? Well, if you head on over to the Heroes of Mana section you will see that not only has the menu been re-organized (now with even more “Coming Soon” goodness), but you can now view the full list of Arm Equipment and the Keywords Memos from the game.
Which reminds me… Mana Music Monday. Here’s two tracks which I think sound quite similar in a way… The Darkness Nova from Legend of Mana, and The Battle vs Celestan from Heroes of Mana. See what you think.
Even today, on Christmas Day, we’ve been working hard at trying to bring you more content here at Seikens. Here are just a few of the things we’ve accomplished today, and there will be more coming soon!
– Tons of FanArt gathered from all over the net (original artists credited and linked): Many talented artists out there have been pouring their hearts into these drawings. We found them all over the place, and have brought them all together.
– More Seiken Densetsu Cosplays added: We even have Flammie in there now!
– Heroes of Mana gallery updated with character artwork, cover artwork, and tons of images from Brownie Brown (and more to come soon!)
Very short post just to announce that the Heroes of Mana “Neck Equipment” list is up and running. The other equipment lists will follow as soon as I format them (which takes a bloody long time, I might tell you).
