It isn’t often that you’ll find a CD that is one long track that lasts over three quarters of an hour, but here Kikuta-san decides to stretch the limits… a different way. From soothing sounds of nature to typewriters and telephones, passing through several layers of electronica-ambience instrumentation, he takes us on a freeflowing ride through some of the themes used in Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3, throwing in oodles of improvisation left right and centre. I’ve listened to this CD many times, and I still can’t pick out every melody in there.

While the length may seem daunting, and the concept bewildering, give love it’s rightful time to flourish for this piece, there’s something for everyone in there, you just have to keep an ear out for it.
