HeroineThe heroine is a member of the Mana Clan, a race with the power of Mana. Her people are hunted by Dark Lord, and her village was wiped out when she was young. As one of the last members of the Mana Clan, she is constantly on the run. |

WillyWilly was one of the heroine’s childhood friends, and a cellmate of the hero. Willy is also a member of the Mana Clan, and he too escaped from Dark Lord when he was young. However, he was later captured and made a slave. Willy uses knucks to fight, and is adept at using Undine’s magic. Willy accompanies the heroine in her journey. |

Sir BogardBogard is one of the three Gemma Knights who defeated Vandole. He is a skilled swordsman and is a father figure to the heroine. Out to stop Dark Lord; Bogard accompanies the heroine in her journey. |

CibbaCibba is the sage of Wendel’s Cathedral and taught the Gemma Knights to fight against Vandole. He is a very wise old man and sees that Dark Lord and Julius post a great threat to the world. Cibba fights with a staff and uses Wisp’s magic. Cibba accompanies the hero in his journey. |

AmandaAmanda was also a slave to Dark Lord. She has a crush on the hero, and soon after he escaped she followed. She is Lester’s big sister. Amanda specializes in using the Lance. Amanda accompanies the hero in his journey. |

LesterLester is a minstrel who believes words are stronger than weapons. However, he aids in the downfall of Dark Lord by using a bow. Lester accompanies both the hero and heroine in their journeys. |

WattsNo Seiken Densetsu game is complete without the blacksmith Watts. Through most of the game he hangs out in the Hot House ready to forge or temper weapons, but he helps the hero find mithril early in the game. Watts accompanies the hero in his journey. |

MarshallMarshall is a War Bot from when Vandole ruled. He helps the heros get through the Dime tower. Marshall sports a lazer, and can read the cryptic writings in the tower. Marshall accompanies both the hero and heroine in their journeys. |

Lord GranzGranz was also one of the three Gemma Knights who fought against Vandole. Granz is known as the Swordless Knight because he fought with his songs. Granz founded the Granz Realm, and is the father of Dark Lord and Devius. |

Count LeeCount Lee is a Mavole and is good friends with Granz. Lee owns Vinquette hall and tries to protect the Mana Clan women from Dark Lord. |

IsabellaIsabella is also a Mavole. She is a friend of Count Lee, and wants him to return with her to Mavolia. Later she joins Dark Lord, but she isn’t a bad guy. |

SelahSelah is also one of the three Gemma Knights. Late in the game her house in Ishe serves as a meeting place for the heros. |

NiccoloNiccolo is a wandering salesman and sells the main characters items ranging from normal to wonderful. He can always be found in the most random of places. |

Lil’ CactusThis spiny little dude hangs out in the Hot House waiting for the heros to come and tell him a story. |

TrentTrent lives in the Hot House and can plant seeds to grow fruit and vegetables to help the main characters with forging and tempering weapons. |

Dark LordDark Lord is the new ruler of the Granz Realm. He hates the Mana Clan with a passion because they refused to use their magic to cure his mother, Medusa. Now he hunts down the Mana Clan to make them suffer the same fate his mother had. |

DeviusDevius is Dark Lord’s brother. He doesn’t want minstrels to go sing for Dark Lord because he fears Dark Lord will kill them. So instead he has his mother turn them into birds. He lives in a manor in Jadd. |

GoremandGoremand eats peoples’ souls. He is much like the grim reaper, and he tags along with Dark Lord and Julius to collect the souls of the many people they kill. |
