I suppose it's like playing an FPS with a trackball. ... ... ... Actually, that might not be a horrible idea. Probably would require getting used to/tweaking sensitivity, but it might work much better than a mouse. But you'll take my mouse from me for RTS when you pry it from my cold, dead hands. @E...

... I opened this thread and was ready for Tsurayu to go all-out with a monster PC ^-^; I'm thinking of getting parts for a new rig based on AMD's Dragon spec sometime this year. It'll probably set me back $800 or so, which is good considering I don't have to buy the case or monitor (not yet, anyway...

Tsurayu wrote:Yeah, Kotomi's arc really got me bawling. I already am pretty emotional with movies and games, but that was just horrible. ^_^;;
Okay, I did cry after the scene where Tomoya meets his grandmother. I guess I cry with the characters, and that really speaks to the animators' skill.

Looks promising (or about as promising as mo-cap gets), but all platforms? Either some of them are going to be bags of hurt (I'm guessing Wii and DS), or the entire lineup is going to be crummy across the board. Also, I'll lay ya 10-to-1 that preview was all cinematics. But it'll be way better than ...

Funny that I didn't cry when I watched either Clannad sad scene (movie or TV)... I did cry at the end of Fuuko's and Kotomi's arcs, though. Probably because the way the movie was scripted, I guess-- it spoiled me as to how Tomoya ended up afterwards, so I tossed up my hands and said, "oh, great...

Probably re-installing the game after my computer fried, and logging in with a different user name. I don't think I leaked any of my CD keys, anyway. I haven't heard from many of the folks in the community I was playing with, anyway. Not that it's a big hairy deal... (though it would be nice if I co...

I tend to banish myself before I get banned for anything.

The closest thing was my CD keys being banned from battle.net, but I hardly ever play there anymore (last time was a D2 run a week or two ago)

Well, if it was just font and style formatting, .RTF should do the trick. But if you're doing fancier things like margins and such, well, RTF tells you to smeg off, unfortunately (I hand-coded one once on an old Apple IIgs). Another possibility is *shudder* HTML, but I'm afraid to think of what woul...

Here is Kassidy's original thread for HoM. I chime in on page 2 (weeks after the original post), and we did our best to be thorough in reviewing the game.

@Kimiko: Glad you enjoyed the Nanoha series. And yup, StrikerS suffered from a case of character creep worse than Bleach , amazingly. In Bleach , at least, the Soul Reaper Almanac and other tidbits scattered liberally throughout the show helped explain where the major players in the Gotei 13 stood. ...

I think composers have been playing with that figure (moving lower note on the odd "beats", constant high note on the even "beats") since Bach... (Hi Destiny! Weclome back) JP was released in '93, and SD3 was released in '95-- plenty of time for Kikuta to find some, er, inspirati...

Heroes of Mana was an attempt at a real-time strategy game. Unfortunately, because Starcraft was a flop and Command & Conquer was never marketed in Japan*, no one over there really knows how to design a good RTS. I think HoM would have been a passable RTS if they hadn't insisted on a 3D interfac...

I read the SD3 script once, and apparently the game does allow you to buy the gunpowder at the first spot you meet Watts, assuming of course you collected enough money to do so. There's another spot later in the game, if you left the dungeon after buying the gunpowder, where King Richard tells you t...
