Well Tales of the Abyss has a completely different battle system. If you've played Star Ocean 3, then it's more similar to that, however in alot of ways, I know a few of us has played Radiant Mythology, and that's very similar to Abyss' battle system. But Abyss isn't quest heavy like RM is.
