@ Varius41: bosses that can cast it are the Dark-God Fahr, the Dark Lich, Jagan and the Archdemon. Also, that Green Ball Eye (that I can remember of) monster cast something similar.

Anyway, the levels I suggest are so that you get a decent chance to beat what's ahead. For exemple, you'll be safe from Death Spells and stuff and, most important, you'll max ALL stats (which is something I think to be very nice, esthetically).

Played SD3 again this weekend. Result: a hardcore non-healer allowed game with the 3 boys...
Was very nice and very destructive, almost didn't have to use life items.

So... Sorry for the necro post but I was playing SD3 today and I just discovered what really happens... When you talk to him and have a full inventory there's no way to buy the gunpowder as he runs away after that. This is probably a way for you to not burn all your money. Sweet... I love Rabites... I still regret there's no way to tame one in SD3... It's just whats missing for the game to score a 10.

I once collected enough money to buy it.
It's been a very long time ago so I don't remember exactly but he either:
1- runs before you could actually get it due to earthquake
2- gets your money but retrieves it later on
