A lot of people have been saying that tons of material have been cut out from SoM in order to make it fit into a cartridge. I really hope Square-Enix revisits Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3, preferably on the (N)DS(i), and make the game they wanted to make almost twenty years ago.

Fair enough. It's no problem. Think of real-time strategy games like a game of chess. You have a fixed "board" to move around. You have different pieces, each with different attributes (queens and pawns have different moving patterns. More often than not, you are trying to checkmate the en...

Carlie doubling up on Light [Bishop] is wicked. To a level-up whore playing Kevin/Carlie's scenario, Turn Undead is simply overpowering - fullscreen 999 damage to all undead enemies - including the final boss - for 1 MP. Plus, she has a unique multi-target Tinkle Rain which help with those bosses th...

It's...really that linear, Zergrinch?) Well honestly, what RTS game isn't linear? I mean, look at Starcraft. Except for a couple of missions later in the expansion, you have no choice about where you want to go next. You have to play all the maps in order, and in general what happens before has lit...

My favorite team consists of Hawkeye, Lise, and Kevin. Hawkeye does the stat-downs, Lise does the stat-ups, Kevin does the healing, and they all kick the ass. My least used character is Angela, because of the way the game responds to her more destructive magic (and the niggardly effect of Faerie Wal...

Heroes of Mana? I played through it, but it was extremely frustrating. I have played RTS games, my current nick is a testament to which one. Believe you me, HoM is a very shallow RTS game - which is a shame because I thought the story was good. The game has no side-quests. You progress in a linear f...

At this point, why not release a trailer with the stuff you have, and see if this piques people's interest (outside this board)?

Also, I'm a bit familiar with subtitling, having an in-progress project myself.

I just realized that if Hawkeye were ever to marry Jessica and have kiddies, that'd be one screwed-up family tree (Nephew and Aunt lovin') :D Aaaand, that's a wrap, folks! For your 2 seconds of enjoyment, here's version 1 of the translated wallpaper. http://upload.jetsam.org/images/HOM%201280x1024.j...

Seems like I botched the translation for Angela. She's two years older than Hawkeye - so if he was already a little baby in HOM, then Angela would have been a toddler. >.<

Alrighty, here's the remaining Japanese text. I would appreciate any feedback! 神託 (connecting to Joster) -- Magus_Melchior has rendered this as an oracle , in the sense that it is a prophecy and not the prophet. I'm inclined to use Prophecy as a less ambiguous word. Text box that connects to Joster:...

Could be that the localization team and/or Brownie Brown got confused, which wouldn't be all that surprising. It's hard to keep all the lore consistent across every shred of merchandise. I suppose it IS possible that Joster was really blind and the fact was mentioned in the original Japanese game. ...

I sat down and did a playthrough of Heroes of Mana, cheating my ass off with invincible Roget and unlimited resources (Benevodon spam FTW, hrhrhr) Anyway, I think a lot of the relationships are clearer to me now, although the playthrough didn't specifically answer two of my questions: 1. If Joster w...

You're right. I guess it means, during the time when he was a child.

Still, I suppose this requires knowledge about Heroes of Mana. Is there anyone here who has finished the game? Was the relationship between Inath and Baxilios explained in the game?

There is an arrow pointing from King Inath to big baddie Baxilious. The text follows: 幼少の頃姉のように慕う I am not sure about 頃 From what I've been able to ascertain: 幼少 - childhood の - of 頃 - midnight 姉 - sister の - of ように - so that, hoping or wishing for something 慕う - to yearn for, to miss, to adore, to ...
