just a thought

I thought it would be pretty cool if we can somehow send emails or even better write letters to Koichi Ishii's company letting him know how much we would like for a new mana game =v=;;

ahh silly idea tho... dsdfdsf

Ishii no longer works for Square though. I imagine that he didn't take the IP with him, so it'll be down to finding a similar contact within Square (probably not CEO, but head of dev or something).

Possibly. The problem is, Square will own the rights to the series, so while it's possible that Ishii could develop another ARPG, it's not going to be based around the Mana universe.

Since the games in the Mana series where barely related to each other (if at all) then a Mana type game in a different universe wouldn't be that bad (even though I didn't like Secret of Evermore, hm). But if it's not Mana for the story, then it is for the game play, and I'm convinced he's never doing Mana-style ARPG game play again. If he's intent on making me move a line of people around or some other innovative bull, then I really don't want to play any more of Ishii's games.

Addendum: Maybe I'm being to harsh on Ishii. I don't think his games suck, but I'm bitter over the fact that he made my favorite games growing up and he threw it away to try other stuff. I can at least be grateful for what he's done in the past.

@ ReasonsUnknown Totally, I get it. However, have you actually played Line Attack Heroes? I was watching a clip on YouTube of four dudes playing it and... it kinda looked like it might be fun.

But I agree that it seems Ishii is way too focused on "INOVATING" rather than making FUN games. But then, all Grezzo has done is Line Attack Heroes and the Ocarina of Time remake. I suspect the reason why they turned Line Attack Heroes from an RPG to a casual party game might be because Nintendo wanted them to do the Ocarina of Time remake so they wrapped up Line Attack Heroes as a mere wiiware thing so they could get to work on Zelda.

But now that that's over (or is it? will they do a Majora's Mask remake now?) Grezzo can focus on giving us something. And maybe Squeenix might even ask Grezzo to do the next Mana someday?

But yeah... writing to Ishii begging for more Mana isn't going to accomplish anything; even if they WANTED to do another Mana, it's up to Sqeenix.
