Hi
i heard it multiple times now ( and experienced it ), that a post of your own is displayed twice ( doublepost ) and when you delete one of them, both are deleted. Now I found a way how you can differ between real doubleposts and posts that are twice displayed.
I don't know if it's my my computers fault, but I'm even displayed twice in the online list
1) Detect two equal posts
2) Compare the PIDs
Two find out wether those are the same posts or not, you must compare the Post ID. Those are displayed in the status bar ( at the bottom of your browser window ), when you move the mouse over the date-link that is on top of each post. The whole link looks like this: viewtopic.php?pid=1234#p1234
where 1234 is the PID. If the PID of the upper and the PID of the lower posts are identical, it's a viewing bug. If not, you can delete one of them, without having fear that both will be removed.
//edit: after logging out and in again, it's displayed normal again.
How to differ real doubleposts from twice-displayed posts
