I got bored today and started a rough draft for "Zeroes of Mana".
I paid more attention to drawing the characters than to the actual words I was going to put in those bubbles. I like the way the characters turned out, the 10 second backgrounds I threw together for it are ok, I'll aim for something better later.
The Goblin with the Rabite cap is going to be the main character of the comic.
Like the lame joke there? Maybe it would have helped if I would have actually drawn axes with the goblins... I kinda overlooked that part.
I dunno, it's a start.
I laid the comic out all tall like this for two reasons.
1) It will fit in the Seikens news box without stretching it too wide.
2) If it was read left to right the little gag at the end would be given away, instead of you scrolling to see it and going "Wow, what a lame joke."
I dunno if that's the best way to do it, but eh, this is just a test run.
Lemme know what y'all think.
If you look at his leading foot there in the last panel you can see where I forgot to chop out my greenscreen. Whoops.
Does anyone else like my take on the big pot thingy? I do.

Like, you mean not rough draft version? The J Person wrote:Almost makes me wish that was the official version...
The real first one will probably look exactly like this, but with better backgrounds, and better text. I'll draw axes on their backs too.
I'll probably end up ditching the hand drawn text bubbles for some digital ones.
What do y'all think though?
Y'all decide and I'll work from there.
Digital text bubbles or drawn?
Actually, the more I look at it the happier I am with this.
if you are using digital text bubbles, be sure to use comic fonts. that would fit better
here is a site with comic fonts
