Well, even if it IS just a mobile or iOS game, it is getting released in Europe! Here's hoping NA is next! And that we get more info soon!

I actually forgot about this little tidbit. Could it be that they are already planning on localizing it in EU and NA as well? As far as I know they haven't trademarked it in NA yet... :/

Tons of new info about Rise of Mana!

First of all, the story (via the narration in the trailer, translated by Kotaku):
It was a place called "heaven"

The side of light, Lasta, where the Great Tree grows, and the side of darkness, Darka, where the roots of the Great Tree tangle

A strange world divided into two sides

The angels of Lasta and the demons of Darka have battled for ages under the command of their masters, the lords of light and darkness.

And they continue to fight to this very moment.

That fact is all that matters.

And then here's some more from Kotaku about the game:
In Rise of Mana, players will take the part of an angel and demon who have fallen to the mortal world by accident and have been forced to share one body in order to survive. Their adventure will take them across various fields where they will battle strange and powerful enemies from other realms as they seek to find a way home.

Rise of Mana is a free-to-play action RPG for iOS and Android systems. The Android version is scheduled for release in Japan this year with the iOS version set for "soon." No word on an international release. Square Enix has also announced a soundtrack that will be available in Japan on April 23rd.
Other fun tidbits:
It is one of the few new games to use the Logitech gamepad "PowerShell". And thank goodness, because I would have probably downloaded it otherwise and then got frustrated with the touch screen d-pad. Now I have a reason to buy the PowerShell, I suppose... if the game gets localized.

Wow, the Chobin Hoods are super cute. Dunno what those cat guys were.

Neat to see the Jackal back as a boss!

I seriously doubt we'll see this though, anyway, neat videos! I wasn't aware of these.
