I have to share... This was a parody of a song by Lordi (the winners of this years Eurovision song contest, and general heavy rock band) that I sent in to the radio, and actually got played... and liked... which doesn't often happen... So anyway, here ya go. Prepare to be scared.

I'll bring more recordings along as I get there.

I heard the word 'snack' somewhere in the begining, and the rest I couldn't understand...XD It seems pretty quirky though, how awsome that you got a radio to play this! Good stuff

What is Eurovision by the way? Destiny also mentioned it on her livejournal, and I thought it was a sports tournament at first.

Eurovision is a song contest in Europe, where the partaking countries send a band or singer to participate. At the end of it, each country (37 of them) have a televote, the results of which are then announced.

So, say for example in the UK Finland received the most votes, then Swede, The Bosnia-Herzegovina, then Russia, and so on, the scores to be added to the totals would be 12, 10, 8, and 7 respectively, down to 1. And they can't vote for their own country, obviously.

It's the contest that launched Abba to fame. It's become very pop oriented and slutty, but this year Finland sent Lordi, a heavy rock band who wear full body monster prosthetics, and they won.

Probably helps if I post the lyrics too...

Take off my leather apron, I'm dying for a snack
Put the toast on and serve raw meat, then head for the hen house out back

Can you hear how the chickens cluck?
Chills of fear like their feathers being plucked.

Once again little hen I'm demanding you when
Will you lay an egg now, for my tea
On this unholy night I could do with a bite
Blood red chicken, lay an egg for me
I'll have it for my tea

No one leaves... not even Iain Lee...

Can you hear how the chickens cluck?
Chills of fear like their feathers being plucked.

Once again little hen I'm demanding you when
Will you lay an egg now, for my tea
On this unholy night I could do with a bite
Blood red chicken, lay an egg for me
I'll have it for my tea

Cheers. ;)
The original song is Blood Red Sandman by Lordi. The chorus for it is:

Once again there is pain, I bring flames I bring cold
I'm the Bloodred Sandman coming home
On this unholy night I will make you my own
Bloodred sandman coming home again

I guess it's about nightmares coming back. THe music video's really cool.

I know what you mean, but there's always hope. Hell, guy in my office who usually listens only to R&B has just gone Lordi mad. ;)

Eek! I got my pop-y friend addicted to Rammstein, so that's an achievement.

:P

So what other music do you like?

Rammstein, that's an achievement. I listen to quite a lot of stuff, but to name a few Rammstein, Offspring, Marilyn Manson, HIM, Nightwish, Murderdolls, System of a Down, Pitty, White Stripes, any anime stuff I get addicted to, and random videogame remixes.

Those come to mind right now. Mainly guitar based, but then part of the fun is learning to play them all afterwards. ;)
