The Wings No Longer Beat – Hiroki Kikuta

Mana Music Monday is coming a day early because I found a guy on Youtube who has videos of the Symphonic Fantasies concert that happened yesterday. If you missed it, here’s your chance to enjoy it! I was really impressed by it, it turned out awesome. If you’re interested in the other segments click here.
Part One
Part Two
Hey everybody, happy Labor day if you’re here in the states, and happy Labour day if you’re up in Canada.
The difference is subtle but important I imagine.
Today I have this music for you:
Menace – Kenji Ito
It’s from the “Let Thoughts Ride on Knowledge” album that was arranged by Takayuki Hattori way back in 1991, and I think it’s one of the best things to ever happen to Seiken Densetsu music. This track reminds me a lot of Disney’s Fantasia at the beginning, and then it builds up into a pretty nice Latin sounding boss theme. It’s pretty awesome.
We’ve got something a little different for you today.
Vivid – Hiroki Kikuta
This is the first track from Kikuta’s most recent album, Alphabet Planet which was released in 2007. I haven’t actually listened to the album, but Kassidy has given all the tracks a short summary here in our soundtrack section.
Enjoy!
What, you came back today looking for music? Wasn’t impurfekt’s Secret of Mana remix project “rebirth” enough for you? You’re either greedy or you haven’t downloaded his music yet if you came here for music today.
In any case, you can have another track today too.
Enjoy Ring of Revolving Fate by Yoko Shimomura for Heroes of Mana.
It’s summer, people should be out in the sun and having fun… apparently.
Either that or other insanely busy schedules have meant that we’ve been having some difficulty in keeping up with updates, in particular Mana Music Monday. As it was Missing, this weeks (late) track is Missing Truth, by Yoko Shimomura, from the Legend of Mana soundtrack. Enjoy!
And don’t forget your sun block!

My bio-clock has been all over the place, so I missed yesterday’s update, and on top of that, last week I was remiss to post a track, so this week we’re doing a 3-in-1. Parting from Let the Thoughts Ride on Knowledge brings together 3 tracks from the original Seiken Densetsu soundtrack by Kenji It, the second of which, Battle 2, was what got me into FFA in the first place.

I’m having a rather decisive battle against moving house, so it seems only fitting to have this track from the Seiken Densetsu I orchestral soundtrack (Let Thoughts Ride on Knowledge, being one of its titles).

While more work goes on behind the scenes, we bring you quite a special MMM. Although it’s only short, it’s an extract from Hiroki Kikuta’s Secret of Mana +, which we would love to post in its entirety, but seeing as it’s over 44 minutes long, that could be somewhat taxing on our site traffic, and Deques would most likely rip my head off and pour fertilizer down my throat.
If you guys like the idea, we’ll aim to bring some more extracts from this disc and post them as part of MMM. In fact, you can even take a go at naming where in the games the music comes from, or what it sounds like!
Also, I apologise for the lack of life signs from myself over the past weeks; I’m in the process of moving house, AGAIN, and this one needs some DIY done to it, so I’m knee deep in paint, sawdust, and the ilk. Anyway, enough of my babbling, enjoy the music, and give us some feedback on the above.

Like so many of my Mana Music Monday updates I’ve decided to upload the first Mana song to play from all my music files. Enjoy.
