MMT – The Soaring Wings of Reality

May 3rd, 2011 | Dr. Sheexy | Filed under Seikens

And so the final game in the game a week upload thing I was doing is done! Ending it is a track from Heroes of Mana, and I think it’s really neat, especially that bit at around 40 seconds in. I like it.
Enjoy!

MMM – Visions

Here is a random Dawn of Mana track! It’s a nice gentle one that I really like! I like the Endless Dream version better, but it’s nice to hear this one too.

MMM – Children of Mana

April 18th, 2011 | Dr. Sheexy | Filed under Seikens

Ok all this changing around stuff is kinda confusing, but it’s alright, it’s ok. We’ll just continue on like normal now.

This week is Children of Mana music, and we’ve got a nice little track for you today.

Beyond the Blue Sky – Kenji Ito – Children of Mana

It’s a nice calm piece and I really enjoy it. I actually idled on the Flammie flying part just to listen to this a few times. It’s too bad you couldn’t actually fly Flammie to this though… that woulda been nicer.

MMM – Pure Smile

March 28th, 2011 | Dr. Sheexy | Filed under Seikens

You’ve gotta love the second CD of the Sword of Mana Premium album. It’s got some amazing piano renditions of various tracks from the game and I really like it. The tracks for Sword of Mana are pretty good themselves, but there is something about GBA music that just seems… chunky? I dunno, I can’t really listen to the SwoM tracks other than these piano ones, but when it comes to the chippy FFA music I can listen to those just fine. Maybe I’m just weird.
Anyway, enjoy one of the piano tunes. This one is a piano version of the in game track A Girl’s Longing.

MMM – Legend of Mana

March 22nd, 2011 | Dr. Sheexy | Filed under Seikens

Hey, how did this work out so perfectly?

Looks like Legend of Mana is out on PSN now! Thanks to Kimiko from the forums for the link! That perfectly coincided with my weekly game music ripping. Fancy that!
Here’s possibly the best track from the soundtrack for you to listen to, and pick this game up if you’ve never played it!

MMM – Ancient Dolphin

March 14th, 2011 | Dr. Sheexy | Filed under Seikens

Following in suit, we’ve got SD3 music today. I’ve taken it off the first disk just in case I feel like doing each disk a separate week. Not sure if I’ll really do that though.

I chose this one cause the name strikes me as hilarious.

MMM – Rose and a Ghost

March 7th, 2011 | Dr. Sheexy | Filed under Seikens

First up was FFA, now we’re moving on to SoM!

Today’s track is actually one of my favorites from Secret of Mana. When I was little I was terrible at the game (hey I was six and didn’t understand leveling!), and I couldn’t beat Fire Gigas no matter how hard I tried, so I just had to run around in the few beginning cities and have adventures. I swore that the Fire Gigas was probably the second to last boss or something. Oh naivety! Needless to say I never got Pandora fixed up at that time, so I had a lot of time to listen to this tune.

It’s a really beautiful track, and it gives me this beautiful but abandoned feeling as though Pandora was a shell of what it used to be. And it was! Until I finally learned that spamming freeze on the Fire Gigas is a pretty good way to kill him, and I was finally able to rescue the poor town. I was probably like 8 by the time that happened, I had to give my Aunt back the cartridge and didn’t see it again for a long time.

Affiliation – Square Palace

January 10th, 2011 | Kassidy Kearey | Filed under Affiliates, Seikens

KassHere at Seikens we are happy to announce that we have just partnered with a new Affiliate, Square Palace. For a long time they have been providing excellent coverage on classic Square and Enix games in the French language, including Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, Chrono Trigger, Illusion of Gaia, and many more.

They have also done some cool research into stuff hidden within the games using Action Replay codes, and we’ll be bringing you some details of their latest study project soon.

So please join me in welcoming them on board. I hope that both sites will profit from this and we can all keep our support for these games which we love running strong.
