MMM – The Other Truth

Posted on July 25th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Today’s track comes from the Faerie story line in Legend of Mana. I think it’s hard to pick a favorite out of all the three storylines, though maybe Jumi takes the cake for me. I’ve always liked the Faerie story a lot though, it was the last one I completed out of the three. Personally I don’t find the Dragon story line that exciting, but maybe that is because it is the one I have been through the most and also the first one I completed, it just doesn’t feel as emotional as the other two. I really like how involved the character gets in the Jumi and Faerie storylines too.

Hope you enjoy the music!

I am very sleepy this week, so I’ve chosen a nice little sleepy track from DoM.

MMT – High Tension Wire

Posted on July 12th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Sorry for the music being a bit late this week! The internet in my entire town decided to stop working at any decent speed, my download speed was 0.019 Mbps and the upload speed was a fraction of that, so I just didn’t see any way I could get the update done! I wonder what happened to the internet lines? Could it have been a High Tension Wire? Does that even make sense? No, but I’m using it as an excuse to have this track as the MMT update. Hope you enjoy!

This track is one of my favorite boss musics from SD3, it’s just so upbeat and optimistic sounding!

MMM – The Darkness Nova

Posted on July 4th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Hello everyone, happy Monday to all and if you’re in the U.S.A. happy Fourth of July!

I chose today’s track because it was as close to the idea of a firework as I could get with the song titles from any of the games. Darkness because you do them in the dark, and Nova because that’s an explosion. My logic is flawless! Flawless I say! Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful day, and if you’re celebrating today stay safe! Those are explosions after all!

Remixes Relaunched

Posted on July 1st, 2011 by Kassidy Kearey

The Remixes page is back in action, and in perfect timing (gee golly what a coincidence, huh?), as a new Seiken Densetsu remix has just been posted on OCRemix: Starlight Festival – Kiamet, a wonderful solo piano rendition of Powell from Seiken Densetsu 3 that brings across a sense of urgency through its Latin influence in style. The playing is very precise and includes some very nice harmonies and added textures on top of the original melody. The sound quality is exceptional.

MMM – Flight Into the Unknown

Posted on June 27th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Today’s track is one that I spent a lot of time listening to. Flying around on Flammie was one of my favorite things to do in the game. I’d spend hours just exploring the overworld map, looking for the faces and whatever other little landmarks I found interesting. The other two tracks are nice, but I really enjoyed this flying theme the most. It’s so optimistic sounding! Hope you enjoy this great track!

MMM – Running to the Excalibur

Posted on June 20th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Hey everybody! Long time no news, it’s time for some music!

Here is a remix Kassidy found of one of my favorite tracks of all time. I really like this one, it’s pretty cool and I like the sawtoothy sound it gives off. Kassidy will have to post a comment with more details on who made this, because I don’t actually know besides to say it comes from a doujin album.

MMM – Flamelet?

Posted on May 30th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Today’s track comes from Seiken Densetsu 3. I’ve never understood this song’s title, what exactly is a flamelet? Is it supposed to be a tiny flame? Makes sense I guess considering it is Carlie’s theme song. But I’d like to imagine it is instead a portmanteau of flame and omelet. Maybe it is made out of eggs that the Fire Drakes lay. I think that’s a more exciting idea. After all, the Basilisks in SoM laid Eggatrice eggs, and the Basilisks in SD3 even burp up the same enemy. But the Fire Drakes? They don’t have any eggs in the game, and I posit they are not shown because they have all been turned into flamelets.

Yup, this title makes perfect sense to me now.
