MMM – Children of Mana

Posted on April 18th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Ok all this changing around stuff is kinda confusing, but it’s alright, it’s ok. We’ll just continue on like normal now.

This week is Children of Mana music, and we’ve got a nice little track for you today.

Beyond the Blue Sky – Kenji Ito – Children of Mana
[audio:https://www.seikens.com/seikens/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/08-Beyond-the-Blue-Sky.mp3|titles=08 – Beyond the Blue Sky]

It’s a nice calm piece and I really enjoy it. I actually idled on the Flammie flying part just to listen to this a few times. It’s too bad you couldn’t actually fly Flammie to this though… that woulda been nicer.

Work to do:
Layout tweaking
Migrate the game pages
Migrate bestiary
Migrate gallery
Add music player
And lots more content!!!

MMM – Pure Smile

Posted on March 28th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

You’ve gotta love the second CD of the Sword of Mana Premium album. It’s got some amazing piano renditions of various tracks from the game and I really like it. The tracks for Sword of Mana are pretty good themselves, but there is something about GBA music that just seems… chunky? I dunno, I can’t really listen to the SwoM tracks other than these piano ones, but when it comes to the chippy FFA music I can listen to those just fine. Maybe I’m just weird.
Anyway, enjoy one of the piano tunes. This one is a piano version of the in game track A Girl’s Longing.

MMM – Legend of Mana

Posted on March 22nd, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Hey, how did this work out so perfectly?

Looks like Legend of Mana is out on PSN now! Thanks to Kimiko from the forums for the link! That perfectly coincided with my weekly game music ripping. Fancy that!
Here’s possibly the best track from the soundtrack for you to listen to, and pick this game up if you’ve never played it!

MMM – Ancient Dolphin

Posted on March 14th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Following in suit, we’ve got SD3 music today. I’ve taken it off the first disk just in case I feel like doing each disk a separate week. Not sure if I’ll really do that though.

I chose this one cause the name strikes me as hilarious.

MMM – Rose and a Ghost

Posted on March 7th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

First up was FFA, now we’re moving on to SoM!

Today’s track is actually one of my favorites from Secret of Mana. When I was little I was terrible at the game (hey I was six and didn’t understand leveling!), and I couldn’t beat Fire Gigas no matter how hard I tried, so I just had to run around in the few beginning cities and have adventures. I swore that the Fire Gigas was probably the second to last boss or something. Oh naivety! Needless to say I never got Pandora fixed up at that time, so I had a lot of time to listen to this tune.

Rose and a Ghost – Hiroki Kikuta – Secret of Mana

It’s a really beautiful track, and it gives me this beautiful but abandoned feeling as though Pandora was a shell of what it used to be. And it was! Until I finally learned that spamming freeze on the Fire Gigas is a pretty good way to kill him, and I was finally able to rescue the poor town. I was probably like 8 by the time that happened, I had to give my Aunt back the cartridge and didn’t see it again for a long time.

Mana Music Monday

Posted on February 28th, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Sorry about the lack of MMM updates recently! My laptop died and I had to build a new computer. Now that I’ve got this I’ve gotta get all my Mana music back on here, so why not rip them all in order?
Today’s track is from the first game!

Chapter Four – Friends – arranged by Takayuki Hattori composed by Kenji Ito and Nobuo Uematsu – Final Fantasy Adventure
[MEDIA=265]

That’s fun huh? Tracks used in this are Chocobo’s Birth and Chocobo’s theme. The latter is the only non Seiken Densetsu track inside the series, it comes from Final Fantasy!

More SoM on iPhone

Posted on February 23rd, 2011 by Dr. Sheexy

Ok, this isn’t really huge news or anything, but the characters from Secret of Mana have apparently been added into the game Voice Fantasy where you apparently get people to talk on your phone and you unlock characters who fight using all the voices that summoned them or something strange. Maybe someone else knows something about this?

Anyway, here are some screens. At least some Mana characters still have jobs these days. Thanks to Shuu for the news!

The characters are special guests!
Guest Characters
Randi is about to get whacked!
Randi is about to get hit.
Silly Popoi, that’s not the Dark Lich!
Popoi casts a spell at a wannabe Dark Lich
