It’s a little earlier Music update. Too compensate last week’s late update. This track is from Legend of Mana, the title theme. I find it very harmonic, you might like it like I do.

I know, it’s late… It can’t be helped, I actually have to work for a living and do lots of hours, which means that some of the rest of the time I have to sleep, what can I say. But here it is, a remix of In Darkness’ Depths from Secret of Mana, done by Mana Label, a curious choice of track when you think about it.

Well I never got the Children of Mana Commercials up last week, so I’m going to put them all up now along with the Mana Music Monday for this week. I’m gonna be really busy this week and won’t have time to mess with these later.

The music for this week is the Children of Mana track The Ruined Ground by Takayuki Aihara. I think it’s a really good ruined Temple of Mana arrangement. I could maybe listen to it forever, it’s so serene and mysterious.

So everyone knows the last two post were jokes right? Ok good.
If you’d like to find them again sometime, or view the prank from last year you can go here: April Fool’s Pranks. All the future pranks will find themselves located there as well.
Children of Mana commercials coming up soon, hope you all had a fun day yesterday.

Connections are a wonderful thing. So the rumours were true, a preview of SD3 for the DS has been leaked, and thanks to certain contacts I now has my hands on it. And I’ve taken the liberty of filming some of it for you guys.
You’ll notice that the soundtrack has been reworked, and although I think it may not be a final version, it’s sounding pretty good. I’m looking forward to working my way through what other tracks I can find on here, so with some luck next Mana Music Monday will have some SD3DS (hey, that’s a palindrome!) goodness to boot!
More videos with some more gameplay to come soon. Sorry for the bad camera work, but you know what it’s like trying to record stuff off the DS.

Seiken Densetsu 3 is coming to the DS!
The site that leaked the screens only has two shots on it, so we can only really make guesses as to what the game is going to have. The first screenshot shows Duran at the beginning of the game. Unfortunately the touch screen doesn’t look like it is going to be implemented for much, it just shows character information it appears. Maybe you can use the stylus to jump from section to section in that menu though? That could work kind of nice. There is no way to tell this early though.

The second screen shows what it is like to use Flammie. I think it is pretty neat that they used the world map art instead of a pixelized map, but it looks hard to tell what direction Flammie is looking down there just by his pixelated head telling you where you are, but I guess that shouldn’t be much of a problem.

What do you guys think? I’m really excited!
I tried to skim through and read as much about it as I could and I saw mention of multiplayer wifi! It is probably just for three DS systems in the same room, but still, that’s really awesome! Hopefully there will be more leaks and some more information soon!

This week we’ve got the SD3 boss track Strange Medicine by Hiroki Kikuta up for your listening pleasure. Along with it you’ll find a remix by Aether which is really faithful to the mood of the track.

Two more Secret of Mana commercials for today.
Got a comment in the last batch asking why we don’t post any English commercials, and sadly the answer is that there aren’t any. The commercials for the games barely make it out of Japan. The second video for today is from Germany, and it’s probably the neatest Seiken Densetsu commercial there is, despite the fact it gets the beginning entirely wrong.

Next week we’ll have some Children of Mana commercials, and then I’ll get the respective sections up in each of the game’s pages to keep these commercials where people can find them.

Secret of Mana has the most commercials we’ve managed to round up out of all of the games.
This first one is a pretty simple one and pretty much just shows the title screen.
[MEDIA=53]
The next two are basically the same commercial, the first one advertises the game and the second one advertises the game as well as two Square guides and the two soundtracks for the game: the OSV and Secret of Mana +.

I have no idea what that giant monster is supposed to be, or why it has Jawas from Star Wars worshipping it.
More SoM commercials coming up later.

We haven’t had any Children of Mana music in a while, so here is a track from the Jadd Desert level.
