Mana Music Monday has been delayed until later today. This is down to several factors which we will not go into right now. But to make up for it, I’ll be bringing you an added value update, as well as the music.
Watch this space.

This week’s Triple M was delayed slightly due to circumstances, but now we can bring it to you. This track is a rearrange of the Kakkara Theme in Secret of Mana done by Mana Label on their album Marina (2005), called Charon’s Passing Boat. Enjoy.

Almost missed this today, whoops. Finals are upon me and I’m not paying much attention to anything besides school.
Did You See the Sea – Hiroki Kikuta
[MEDIA=73]
I always liked how Hiroki Kikuta decided to just go ahead and remix his own music for this one. “Did You See the Sea” is a fun kinda techno feeling mix of “Into the Thick of it”/”Boy Aims for Wild Fields.” I’ve seen the original remixed in different ways, but never this take on it.
I think someone needs to hop on remixing this. It’s really fun.

So this is probably gonna seem pretty boring compared to those video music updates we had the rest of the week, but oh well. I’ll put two up.
Here are two good ones from Legend of Mana that are used at the end of the Jumi story.
City of Flickering Destruction – Yoko Shimomura

Those Who Are Shining – Yoko Shimomura

The Jumi storyline was always my favorite of the three main arcs in LoM. These two tracks are basically the same thing, but just a little bit different.
If you’re playing LoM don’t forget that on one of the bottom levels of the Bejeweled city there is a Machine Golem in one of the rooms that you can fight over and over for nice amounts of experience.

Another talented chap over on YouTube, CalebElijah, recorded this electric guitar rendition the theme from Secret of Mana’s Upperland forest. While it’s not my favourite song from the game, he’s done a really good job of performing it. Check out his other videogame renditions over on YouTube.

I decided to do something a little different for today’s Mana Music Monday update.
Here for your enjoyment is the staff roll for Dawn of Mana. Don’t worry if you haven’t played the game yet, there aren’t any spoilers in the video just awesome visuals and music.
The two tracks featured here are “The Endless Dream” and “A Legend Forever” by Kenji Ito. These are two of my favorite tracks from the series. “A Legend Forever” dates back to the good old days of Final Fantasy Adventure. “The Endless Dream” stems from “Tale of the Distant Sun” from Children of Mana. It reminds me of a mix between “Rising Sun” and “A Legend Forever” and the vocals harken back to the arranged version of “Mission of Mana” from the Seiken Densetsu – Let Thoughts Ride on Knowledge album.
Anyways, just sit back and enjoy the fun visuals while following the elementals around.
Yarn and felt never looked so awesome.

If you missed all the names you can check them out on the Dawn of Mana Staff Roll page that Kassidy made a while back.

Guys Halloween is two days away!
To get everyone in the mood for Halloween I’ve got what is arguably one of the greatest tracks used for an evil castle place. From the final levels of Dawn of Mana comes this piece, Dark Palace by Tsuyoshi Sekito. It sounds exactly like I would imagine a dark palace to sound like, all menacing and mysterious sounding. The voices in the background just make the whole thing sound so amazingly evil.
In other words, I really like this track.
[MEDIA=64]
Oh, actually, I’m gonna do two tracks since Halloween is coming up.
This next one is from Secret of Mana, and I really don’t think our Halloween music update would be complete without this one.
Just imagine the zombies dancin’ around to this one. It has always creeped me out a bit. Here is Ceremony by Hiroki Kikuta.
[MEDIA=61]
And, just because I’m on a roll, how about Kenji Ito’s Goblin’s Beat from Dawn of Mana? Just imagine this track while you’re going around doing Halloween and getting into mischief. It’s what the Goblins would want.

Today’s Mana Music Monday is going to be somewhat different. Instead of presenting one of the classic track in audio format only, I’m going to introduce you to a guy who goes by the name of Kurikinton Fox, and plays electric guitar versions of several themes from Square-Enix’s games. Well his latest venture just so happens to be from Secret of Mana, and is one of my favourite tracks, Danger/Crisis. Yes, that’s right, the Boss Theme. Enjoy!

I’ve had a hard day of work at the office and I’ve spent most of the evening working on stuff for the webpage, so I’m quite knackered…For this week’s MMM, I’m actually taking an arranged version of Powell from Seiken Densetsu 3 by Eru, since this is about the only album that I have to hand right now.

Now I’m off to bed. Night all!

I was so caught up in my doodles that I totally forgot we have other updates that go on here at Seikens.
Alrighty, got some more Dawn of Mana stuff here for y’all since the game has the biggest soundtrack out of any of them. These two are A Silent Drop and Dark Shrine. They play in the little temple thing below the Mana Tree. A Silent Drop comes first, and then Dark Shrine after you get pumped up because your hand just turned into a crazy sword thing. They are pretty much the same song. I really like that.
[MYPLAYLIST=8]
As it gets closer to Halloween the little doodles I am doing are going to gradually turn towards some of the more creepy monsters in the series, and I’ve decided to do the same with the music.
