I’m not sure, but if I had to choose one track from Secret of Mana to sum up my entire experience with the game, this one might be it:
Repeating Eternity – Hiroki Kikuta – Secret of Mana
[MEDIA=236]
I think the track embodies the feeling of wonderment I got the first time I played the game. The whole song just builds up and up and has a real sense of there being something big to it, and something adventurous and mysterious.
I dunno, that’s just how the song feels to me.
Also it’s always bugged me that this track has eight bells ring in it, but it wasn’t the track actually entitled Eight Ringing Bells which has zero bells in it. It’s another track that I think pretty much defines Secret of Mana to me. Actually let’s listen to that one too, why not?
Eight Ringing Bells – Hiroki Kikuta – Secret of Mana

See? There aren’t any bells in that. Unless the beginning is supposed to be glass bells maybe, but it’s much less obvious than the eight bells ringing in the other song. I wonder if maybe the titles got mixed up, it seems like the title Repeating Eternity could fit either of them really.

Today’s track comes from Seiken Densetsu 3 and personally I think it’s the best song in the entire game.
It’s really neat and I love how it flips from very sad sounding to very hopeful sounding. It reminds me of the boss track from Secret of Mana, except that one flips back and forth between hopeful sounding and oh no oh no oh no we’re all gonna die sounding.
Anyways I hope y’all enjoy this track, and that this news post won’t stay in isolation here on the main page I pray, as I plan to actually get some updates on here this week. Hopefully.

Today we have two songs since I forgot an update last week. And for the two songs I have four names, two for each.
That’s because the info my media player gathered for song names and the song names we have on the site here are different, so I figure I’ll just include them both cause I have no idea if one is more correct than the other.
These two songs are pretty overlooked I think, but they’re really good. Also they pretty much go together considering when you hear them in the game.
To Reach Tomorrow/Morning is Here – Hiroki Kikuta – Secret of Mana

This Sole Wish/One of them is Hope – Hiroki Kikuta – Secret of Mana

Today’s MMM comes from the special disk that comes with the SwoM soundtrack that is full of some really awesome piano versions to different songs from SwoM and FFA.
Pure Smile – Kenji Ito – Piano version of A Girl’s Longing from SwoM

You’re all feeling nostalgic about the way the site used to update with these each week right?
No?
Oh well you get a song with the word Nostalgic in it anyways. I think Yoko Shimomura must really like that word since it’s used in songs from Lom and HoM. This song is from HoM and it’s a really nice track.
Tale of the Old Nostalgic Kingdom – Yoko Shimomura – Heroes of Mana

Anyway, updates are coming back. Expect to see the shopping channel and I’ll try to get some other stuff going as well.

Ok everyone, I know I’ve missed the last two and I’m really sorry, but things have been really busy lately. And now I’m here to tell you that I’m going to have to miss the next four as well.
But wait, I’ve got a consolation for you! You know how sometimes when I miss something I upload maybe two or three tracks next time? Well this isn’t like that at all. You are only getting one track while I’m gone for the next month, but oh boy what a track it is!
Secret of Mana + – Hiroki Kikuta
Secret of Mana + is the name of the CD and the track, of which there is one on the CD. That’s right, a whole CD with one track on it. And I uploaded the whole thing for you to listen to while I’m gone! It’s a pretty crazy track involving all sorts of music from Secret of Mana, birds, typewriters, telephones and some stuff that’s super creepy.
What is Sheexy talking about you say, has he gone off the deep end? Just listen and you’ll see!
Enjoy this nearly 50 minute long track, personally I believe it’s one of the greatest pieces of Seiken Densetsu music out there.
The first time I listened to this CD I listened to it 23 times straight. Think that one over.

Sorry for the lack of everything last week, I was kind of busy graduating from college and all.
This week’s music is from Secret of Mana and is used as victory music for a few boss fights. I think the reason I picked this should be pretty obvious, haha.

Summer comes early for me, as the my last actual class day was today. Awesome.
I didn’t mean to have two town musics in a row, but I think the name of this track is just perfect for this occasion.

Today’s music is not Mana music, but then again it is Mana music.
This track comes from the Final Fantasy Adventure soundtrack, but it never actually appears in the game.
Town – Kenji Ito -Final Fantasy Adventure

It is both Mana music and not Mana music. Interesting.

Today I’ve got another one of the few Mana songs to feature vocals for you to listen to. This one is from Legend of Mana.
Everyday Dream ~Siren’s Song~ – Yoko Shimomura
[MEDIA=226]
It’s pretty neat and it is related to a group of missions that I always end up looking over when I play, so maybe there are some other people out there who haven’t heard this one.
