New SoM Scans

Posted on May 4th, 2009 by Kassidy Kearey

KassidyAnise, one of our artsy members over on the Forums, posted these magazine scans that she cleaned up, and we have now added these to the Seikens Gallery for all to see. Many thanks!

And if any of you reading have any artwork, either official or fanart you’ve done, that you would like to see up as part of our ever-growing gallery, then please drop us a line either via our contact form or by posting on the forums, and we’ll get it online. Remember that in the case of fanart, these must be yours, or you must let us know where it is from so that we can seek permission from the author.

And yes, already I have gone and made an avatar out of one of the scans. 😉

I stumbled upon this recording of “The Fairy Child” from Secret of Mana, played on recorder. Very nicely done.

Nuff said, really.

– Well I just got back from eBay you guys, and the only good deal I found was this Legend of Mana 2CD Soundtrack. Everything else seems to be really expensive this week. I’m pretty sure it’s Neko’s fault.

-It’s my fault.

-I thought as much.

-Don’t worry Sheexy! I found this super cheap Children of Mana Japanese Guidebook for sale!

-Wow, I paid a lot more for that when I got it, it’s the most in-depth guide to the game but probably useless to you if you can’t read the Japanese though. Seems like there are also quite a few cheap copies of Dawn of Mana if you’re willing to dig around for it. Well, good effort team, we’ll try again next week.

Mana Music Monday

Last night during the Seikens Skype Café, Enslaven00bs pointed us towards this metal Sword of Mana cover by Hellion Sounds.
All I gotta say is Battle 2 can definitely be done metal. I’d like to see someone do some of Legend of Mana’s boss themes in this style. Check out the artist’s profile for more covers of other videogame music.

– Hey, why wasn’t there an update yesterday?

– Looks like someone forgot what day it was, NEKO. But it’s ok, I’ll let it slide as long as you can keep delivering cheap deals.

– Phew, that is good because I just found two different deals on the Seiken Densetsu 3 Basic Guidebook, here and here. These guidebooks have neat character, weapon, armor, item and monster art inside.

– Nice, I found this good deal on a Legend of Mana 2CD Soundtrack, and this Secret of Mana Basic Guidebook that also has weapon, armor and item drawings in it.

– This is a pretty good deal for the Dawn of Mana 4CD Soundtrack. And if you want the Children and Dawn of Mana Artbook you are probably not going to find it for cheaper than this one.

– Yeah, that thing is always going to have a high price on it, but it’s really amazing. According to the front cover it has over 700 different artworks inside. It has everything from character designs to monster designs, it’s got storyboard plans and even textures that are used in the Dawn of Mana levels. It’s really great.

– I found a great deal on the Secret of Mana Map/Poster.

– Ok, well that’s it for this week. Hopefully Neko won’t go and forget what day we update on next time.

– Sundays?

– …Thursday, I’ll let you off though cause you’re still a cat. But you bring up something cool, If you want to voice chat with Seiken Densetsu fans from the forums here, download Skype and check out this thread. We’re going to try to get this going every Sunday or so, so check it out! See you there maybe!

– Aww, I give dancing lessons on Sundays, I can’t make it!

– I am still a cat so I can’t make it either.

How about some more Heroes of Mana music? I really like that soundtrack. This song in particular is one of my favorites. It’s so nice and lively.

– Phew, update is on today because I was busy at school helping out with the Japanese Language Club’s Sakura Festival. I was dressed like a ninja while at school, it was pretty awesome.

– Wait, you mean you don’t always dress like a ninja?

– Well, no? Do you always wear that getup?

– Why yes, yes I do.

– Well you’re weird. With all that dancing you do I can’t imagine those clothes being that clean…

– I always we-

– You’re a cat.

– Aww…

– Ok guys, what kind of stuff do we have to show off this week?

– Not much actually, things are going pretty slow. This Legend of Mana Soundtrack is a pretty good deal though. Also this Children of Mana Nintendo Power Poster and this Secret of Mana Nintendo Power Issue are priced nicely if you’re looking to collect them.

– Nicely done, Mr. Moti. Neko, what’ve you got for us?

– This Sword of Mana Premium Soundtrack is nice and cheap. You can also get this Sword of Mana Nintendo Power Poster or Four Panel Comics Comicbook without breaking the bank.

– Wow Neko, you didn’t pick anything outrageous. I’m proud of you.

– As long as I take one of these pills every hour I can keep selling cheap stuff like this Heroes of Mana Soundtrack or this Dawn of Mana Soundtrack with minimal detrimental side effects. *cough*

– What about you Sheexy, what’d you find for this week?

– Absolutely nothing. Thanks for doing my job for me, see you guys next week!

– Hey!
