Below is a list of the various weapons you will wield in your heroic journey. Aside from dealing damage, each type of weapon may have a specific field use such as cutting weed or breaking rocks. A few of them have an added effect on certain types of enemies. Also, please also note that some weapons can only be gotten once but can nonetheless be sold. It is strongly advised not to sell them since they often hold unique perks.
Swords
Swords are close combat weapons which have two MAX attacks. When the gauge is filled you can either hold the attack button to spin the sword around yourself multiple times or tap the button to dive across the screen for heavy damage. Swords have no overworld uses.

Guide description: “A two-handed, broad-bladed longsword. Its average size and weight makes it an ideal choice for beginners. It can be used to attack by slashing or thrusting.”
Notes: You start with this weapon, but you can also buy it in Topple and Wendel.

Guide description: “The blade is made of soft and malleable mythril. It is lighter than a normal sword.”
Notes: You can purchase this weapon from Watts after you help him find the Silver (FFA)/Chunk of Mythril (AoM). This is one of the only non-elemental weapons able to hurt undead enemies such as Ghosts and Zombies.

Guide description: “A sword whose single-edged blade can be swung with one hand. It holds a mysterious power that absorbs the opponent’s life force on contact.”
Notes: This weapon will heal you a small amount when you land hits.

Guide description: “A sword imbued with the frozen winds of the Cara Mountains. A blisteringly cold air engulfs the foe upon striking.”
Notes: You get this weapon in the Cara Mountains north of Lorim after you defeat Kary (FFA)/Marilith (AoM). This weapon deals double damage to fire monsters, although ice enemies are immune to it.

Guide description: “A double-edged sword eaten by rust after being neglected over the years. It is said to hold mystical powers greater than any average sword.”
Notes: You get this weapon in the Undersea Volcano after you defeat the Iflyte (FFA)/Ifrit (AoM). Fuji’s Mother (FFA)/Motherly Figure (AoM) turns it into the Excalibur in the Mana Shrine.

Guide description: “As the name suggests, this sword is very effective against dragons. Its blade measures just over 2 meters in length, making it the longest sword. It is even double-edged so you can slash with ease.”

Axes
Axes are close combat weapons. When using the Axe MAX attack the hero throws his axe across the screen. Axes are able cut down trees and thorns.

Guide description: “An axe with a wooden handle and a blade one one side. It’s quite heavy for combat and requires a fair amount of strength to handle. It can deliver decent attack power by swinging it at foes.”

Guide description: “A slashing-type of weapon that is highly effective against a beast-human race of foes known as lycanthropes. The alloy of iron and silver which the blade is made of makes it effective against lycanthropes.”

Flails
Flails are mid-range weapons. Flails have the ability to latch onto wooden posts in the ground and transport the hero across gaps. The MAX attack for the flail increases the distance it covers, this is useful in some puzzles.

Spears
Spears are mid-range weapons. The MAX attack for a spear involves throwing it across the screen. Spears have no overworld uses.

Notes: You can purchase this weapon on Floatrocks. This weapon has a chance of paralyzing enemies and deals double damage to water enemies.
Sickles & Morningstar
The Sickle and Morning star are two mid-range weapons. The Sickle can cut through ferns. Its MAX attack increases the amount of area it covers. The Morning Star attack covers the area directly around the hero, and then stretches out like the flail. The Morning Star can break down walls, rocks and pots. Its MAX attack is the same as the flail.

Guide description: “A weapon with a crescent-shaped blade attached to the end of a chain. The sickle can be swung around the body, making it effective both offensively and defensively. It can also cut grass.”

Notes: You can find this weapon after defeating the Cyclops in Mt. Rocks (FFA)/ Crooked Boulder (AoM). This weapon can break rocks, jars and walls, making the Mattock item obsolete once you acquire it.
