I’m having a rather decisive battle against moving house, so it seems only fitting to have this track from the Seiken Densetsu I orchestral soundtrack (Let Thoughts Ride on Knowledge, being one of its titles).

– It’s that time of the week again! Shopping Channel time! Perhaps you remember the Legend of Mana Manga volumes I linked to last time, well if you want the entire collection you can go for one of the larger reprints that have been made. Here you can find Volume 1 and Volume 2. Remember of course that they are in Japanese through and through.
– If you like the music from Secret of Mana and would love to learn it, check out this Secret of Mana Guitar Solo Book! Starting at only 99 cents, you can possibly make away with a killer deal here! Also worth checking out is the Legend of Mana Soundtrack, it’s always a smart choice. Even if you have it already. I promise. The Dawn of Mana Soundtrack is also a good deal. Buy it and invite me over to a dance party. It’ll be awesome.
– Umm… ok… well I have a few nice but expensive items. First is the amazing Children and Dawn of Mana Artbook, it is pretty much the best Seiken Densetsu art book ever. If you are a die-hard collector look into getting this Japanese Sword of Mana Collector’s Box. It comes with both the game and a Lil’ Cactus toy to sit on your desk. There is also a Rabite finger puppet that comes with it!
– If you want a complete Secret of Mana then here is your chance! This Auction is starting at one cent! Maybe you can get a great deal on it! If you just need the map/poster check This One for a nice deal.
And we’ll wrap it up there, pretty slow right now but we’ll continue to bring you the best deals we can find.

While more work goes on behind the scenes, we bring you quite a special MMM. Although it’s only short, it’s an extract from Hiroki Kikuta’s Secret of Mana +, which we would love to post in its entirety, but seeing as it’s over 44 minutes long, that could be somewhat taxing on our site traffic, and Deques would most likely rip my head off and pour fertilizer down my throat.
If you guys like the idea, we’ll aim to bring some more extracts from this disc and post them as part of MMM. In fact, you can even take a go at naming where in the games the music comes from, or what it sounds like!
Also, I apologise for the lack of life signs from myself over the past weeks; I’m in the process of moving house, AGAIN, and this one needs some DIY done to it, so I’m knee deep in paint, sawdust, and the ilk. Anyway, enough of my babbling, enjoy the music, and give us some feedback on the above.

Thanks to Duran from the forums for scouting these out for us, he recently came across two people performing some Seiken Densetsu cosplay at a convention.
There was a Tamber/Tumble Cosplay as well as a Randi Cosplay that was performed by a friend of the guy Duran found doing a Mr. Moti Cosplay a few years before.
You can see other Seiken Densetsu Cosplay we’ve come across in our Cosplay Gallery.
Thanks, Duran!
Also, if you’ve got some Seiken Densetsu Cosplay planned, or you are one of the people we have pictures of, we’d love to hear from you in the forums!

– Well, there is pretty much nothing new on the eBay front, so today is going to be a small update. If you were interested in the Legend of Mana Postcard Booklet from last time, but it was too pricey for you, check out This One as it is only starting at 99 cents. Here is a nice cheap copy of Legend of Mana if you need it, and you can also get a good deal on Issues 4 and 5 of Shiro Amano’s Legend of Mana Manga. Those two are usually pretty hard to find at a good price.
But other than that there is pretty much nothing worth mentioning, hopefully there will be more next week.

This update is still coming along!
Needle Birds, Pumpkin Bombs, Sahagin, Sea Dragons, and Swords have been updated now.
Some of the names in the Bestiary might be a bit off for the English because I don’t have SwoM or CoM on me to double check. Actually as far as I know it never tells you many of their names in CoM, but I know that in SwoM they changed up a few of the names. When I go back over all of the pages and update the data on each monster I’ll get those names right though.
Also I’m getting close to being done with the minor update part, only 19 more files remain. The only problem is they are mostly the pages where all the monsters who don’t fit into an obvious category go. Stuff like plants, living objects, etc. that include lots of different monsters. If you’re wondering how I chose which monsters to give separate pages and which ones not to it all depends on how unique they are and how much they’ve been represented in the series. Now that I’m including the new games though I might have to break a few off into new pages, but we’ll see.

Like so many of my Mana Music Monday updates I’ve decided to upload the first Mana song to play from all my music files. Enjoy.

– Ok guys, today is the day. The ultra shopping throwdown day!
– Why today?
– Why not?
– Well… ok. I found a lot of Secret of Mana things. These Secret of Mana English Guides (One, Two) are good deals. You can also get the complete game with all the inserts! (One, Two, Three) And if you like the art for the game I’d reccomend buying this Japanese Basic Guidebook!
– Neko, you forgot the Secret of Mana Soundtrack! And while I’m mentioning that, I might as well list the soundtracks from the other games too! Here is the Final Fantasy Adventure Soundtrack which has both the original Gameboy tunes as well as some nice orchestrated tracks, there is the Seiken Densetsu 3 Soundtrack, the Legend of Mana Soundtrack, the Sword of Mana Soundtrack(One, Two), the Heroes of Mana Soundtrack and the Dawn of Mana Soundtrack! Boy that was a mouthful…
– If you’re a real collector you should pick up this Sword of Mana Lenticular Postcard! It’s super shiny!
– Buy this Sword of Mana Four Panel Comicbook. Guys my throat hurts I don’t think I can keep this up.
– Just keep going!
– It is expensive, but I can assure you that you will enjoy this Children and Dawn of Mana Artbook. It has more than 700 pieces of art related to the designing process of both games.
– …
– I think he lost his voice.
– Err… we’re not done yet though, we still need his help.
– …
– Can’t you like, sell stuff through interpretive dance?
– *does a dance about the Legend of Mana Postcard Book*
– Whoa, that was pretty cool! Do some more!
– *does a dance about the neat artworks in the Seiken Densetsu 3 Basic Guidebook*
– The man has talent.
– I’ll say, well, we can take five now. I think we did a good job.

It isn’t going that fast, but I’m getting somewhere with the Bestiary updates.
The Howler Family, Iffish Family, and Mushboom Family pages has been updated. Now the Molebear and Pebbler page has been renamed to be the Molebear, Molecat and Pebbler Family page because I threw in those baddies from Dawn of Mana into their category, and it’s updated too.
Again just a reminder there won’t be any solid info on anything from Sword of Mana or later until I get all the pages up to date, and when I get to that point I’ll also put more thought into the layout of images on the page.

I’ve got two tracks for you today, but they’re both the same. Mostly

Battle 1 – Kenji Ito

Battle 1 ~Believe in Victory~ – Kenji Ito

The first one is from Final Fantasy Adventure, and the second one is the remastered version for Sword of Mana.
Personally I greatly prefer the original to the remake. The remake sounds too shiny to me, like they relied on that sparkly sound way too much, though I have to admit the drums are a nice addition. To me the original just sounds much more imposing and more like a boss battle should.
But that’s just my thoughts, what do you think?
