Well guys, I’m gonna be heading back home today to the land of dial-up internet connection. That means I’m not going to really have a way to do any real updates to the site, unless I was willing to wait three years for it to happen. And honestly, I’ve been spoiled by this super fast internet. So fast that when a page doesn’t load in two seconds flat it means you forgot to pay the internet bill. For like three months. Whoops.
I won’t be doing anymore big updates for now, but I’ll still be hanging around on the forums until I leave for Japan.
Anyways, I’ve got three updates for you today. Read on to see what I’ve got for you.
The Bestiary now contains every enemy from FFA to LoM!
There is a Special Behind the Scenes look at how new Mana games are made!
There is also a new Seikens Stories comic!

Here there be more monsters!
Small fixes all around. Details in the “Read more” part of this entry.
Guys, there are only 20 more Final Fantasy Adventure enemies, 5 more Secret of Mana, 4 more Seiken Densetsu 3 and 5 more Legend of Mana enemies to go into this Bestiary. And that is counting bosses! Only three more sections to go before the Bestiary is complete as far as FFA, SoM, SD3 and LoM are concerned. Then I’ve gotta get started on the new games, haha.

You hadn’t thought we’d forgotten, had you? It’s hectic days here backstage, so I think Sheexy’s suggestion to break for something a bit more peaceful this Music Monday is a splendid one.
This track comes from the second CD of the Sword of Mana Premium Soundtrack, and features Kenji Ito on live piano playing Lost Scene, which is the theme of the Mana Temple from FFA and SwoM.

Here there be more monsters!
Message from Sheexy (who hath once more fallen victim to the interwebs failing):
I added in a section for Aquatic enemies and Insects. There were also a few little fixes done in random places. The Bestiary has a new sleeker look with the green game section dividers that Dekky helped me put in. It looks pretty cool with the enemies overlapping them, unfortunately some of the enemies don’t have transparencies on them, oh well. Getting really close to completely covering the first four games here! Thanks to Kassidy for getting these things up for me.

Well, you probably haven’t noticed it. But Seikens is now using a news system, more precisely a new blog system. We are now blogging! With this new system we can do so much more. This WordPress, the name of the blog, has so many nice plugins. Later we are going to add a poll voting system. (Let’s not add too many things in one day).
Best of all, see the top navigation? Do you see the contact us link? YES! You are now able to contact each of us webmasters. That has never been possible, except for spamming the shoutbox or registering the forums. If you got questions to us, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Or maybe you found some error on our site, just drop us a mail, and we try to reply and/or fix the problem.
Way to go!

A key feature of the Seiken Densetsu series has always been the rich soundtracks bursting with life that composers Ito, Kikuta, Shimomura and others have created for the world of Mana, bringing tears to our eyes when Marcie kicked the bucket, pumping adrenaline through our veins when Thanatos emerged from his decaying body, and soothing our hearts as we gazed out on the landscapes of Fa’Diel.

This is based on seventeen different true stories.
No joking.
Also, I found myself saying “Hmm, I’ll study for the exam tomorrow AFTER I finish drawing the comic for tomorrow’s update.” That is not a good thing people.
Anyways, this is here early because I’m probably gonna be studying all day tomorrow.

Irwin on Reflection
Today’s music update is probably my favorite boss track from any of the Seiken Densetsu games. The track is named after the dude you fight at the end of the Faerie quests in Legend of Mana. I’ve always felt that storyline really got looked over compared to the other quests, but it is pretty good. Shiro Amano did a good job of expanding on it in his Manga.
There are three tracks in this file. The first is the original from Legend of Mana. The second is the Dawn of Mana SK4 mix of it, it is pretty good, but it feels too slow if you ask me. The last track is just crazy, it is the Hurry Up! version of the track. Thing is just nuts.
Enjoy!
