MMM – Wish Upon a Wendellian Star

Posted on February 2nd, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

For those of you who frequent our Remix section you’ve probably already heard this track before, but for those of you who don’t know about our remix section I’d like to ask first: how did you miss the remix section when it’s up on our top navigation bar? and second: you should really check it out.

This one is a remix of the music used in Wendel in FFA, and it’s pretty awesome. Also the name makes me crack up, because every time I start to whistle the Wendel music I end up whistling “When You Wish Upon a Star” in the end. You can get this track from our remixes page or from the OC Remix Page.

– Today we are talking about posters.

– Ok.

– Posters go on your wall.

– Yeah…

– Posters are paper.

– Can we just tell people where to buy posters?

– Well, ok. First we’ve got this Secret of Mana Nintendo Power Poster. It’s a little more expensive than the others, but all of the auctions for these on eBay tend to go up to about 12 to 15 dollars. Then we’ve also got these Children of Mana Nintendo Power Posters (two, two). Also there is a Heroes of Mana Nintendo Power Poster which I guess has Chocobo’s on the back of it.

– Don’t forget Final Fantasy Adventure with the Map and Manual! That map can be used as a sort of mini poster!

– Yeah, and the map is pretty rare too! Our last posters are from Sword of Mana (one, two). These are the largest of all of the posters listed today, and in my opinion they are also the best looking.

– Our last item today is everyone’s favorite; it’s the CoM and DoM Artbook! But wait, there’s more! It is in japan-ssdyuk‘s store, so that means you don’t have to pay the actual price, you can make an offer and possibly get it for less!

– That’s it for this week everyone, see you next time!

MMM – Aurora Borealis

Posted on January 25th, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

Special thanks today to Rozovian for providing the music today. The track was released on OC Remix’s Unofficial Christmas Album. It’s an SD3 remix and it’s really good!

Also, Rozovian let me know that the secret SD3 remix album project is moving forward, and there might be even more tracks than originally considered. This track isn’t a part of the project, but I think it’s a very good sign of things to come.

Deviant Art Contest

Posted on January 25th, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

For those of you who are members of deviant ART I’d like to link you once again to the Seiken Densetsu Club run there by Desert Reaper. There you can meet other fans of the Seiken Densetsu series and take a look at all kinds of neat art related to the series. The club’s gallery puts our own fanart section to shame.

Currently they are hosting a competition to create a new icon for the club, and anyone can enter. The deadline is February 15th, and there are lots of neat prizes including a dA subscription and free art from people such as Desert Reaper and Tomoji from the forums.

So, whether you are artistically inclined or not why don’t you hop on over and check the club out?

– Hey it’s that time of the week again, and we’ve got some good deals!

– If you want Secret of Mana stuff, we’ve got it! Here is a Complete Copy which is at an amazing low price! Do you have the box and the game, but not the map and manual? Then look no further at this item for sale! The manual is a bit beat up, but the map/poster looks to be in good condition!

– How about guides for Secret of Mana? You can get theBasic Japanese Guidebook that has the actual illustrations for every weapon, armor and item, and you can get this Adventure Guidebook too. It’s not anywhere near as good, but it has fun one panel comics that tell you how to beat bosses. You can see an example on the auction page or in the Merchandise section here.

– How about expensive but nice things? The Seiken Densetsu 3 Prologue Book is a definite collector’s item and has neat cards inside of it as well as some stickers. And you can’t go wrong with the classic CoM & DoM Artbook. It’s really quite amazing.

– And to round things up, how about getting the Legend of Mana Manga Collection for cheap? Just make an offer of around 20 bucks and it could be yours! See you all next week!

– Guy’s I’ve got some terrible news!

– Oh no, what’s wrong?

– It’s about me, isn’t it? You discovered I’m not really a cat, didn’t you?

– No, it’s worse, school starts next Tuesday for me!

– …

– … so I’m still a cat?

– Yeah.

– Everything seems ok to me.

– You guy’s don’t care that school is starting for me?

– No.

– Not really.

– Aww, I guess let’s do this update then. Spend the last of my free time before school updating the site I guess.

– Sounds like a good idea, I’ll start! There are two auctions (One, Two) for the Legend of Mana manga! They are both for about the same price, but the first auction has a “make an offer” button, so you could get it for even less!

– Now it’s time for expensive but cool items. If you liked the Seiken Densetsu 3 cards Sheexy showed last week, then maybe you would like to own them, if so go here. The price is high, but if you really want them here is your chance. Also if you are looking for the LoM Millennium Edition and are willing to spend big, here is a copy you can buy.

– I’m not doing anything.

– Also this CoM and DoM Artbook is expensive, but it’s definitely worth it!

– If you want cheap deals on good guides, check out this Secret of Mana English Guide, just don’t hit the buy it now button, and this Legend of Mana Ultimania Guide! I guess that’s it folks, so I’m gonna wrap it up here, cause Sheexy is too busy crying about school to do it himself.

– I don’t want to go! I want the break to be longer!

– See you next week!

MMM – Secret Objective

Posted on January 11th, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

I wish I could say I picked this track because I had some secret update coming for the site, but sadly that is not the case. This is the first track my media player randomly selected that I hadn’t used for an MMM update before.

Secret Objective – Yoko Shimomura
[MEDIA=211]

Chances of any updates coming from me are actually pretty shot for a while, as I’ve got to send my computer away today, and school is starting next week. I’ll try to get some neat stuff up as soon as possible though.

Posted on January 6th, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

In the gallery we’ve got some new scans of the SD3 playing cards that came with the special Prologue guide that came out before SD3 was released in Japan.

You can check out the new scans here.

About a year ago I posted a page in the SD3 section that contains the rules for the two different games you can play with the cards, you can find that information here.

Surprise Shopping Update

Posted on January 5th, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

Hey everyone, it’s a surprise shopping update! I found some pretty good items for sale and I couldn’t wait until Thursday to share them!

The first item to check out is this Legend of Mana Rabite Necklace. These things used to be pretty common on eBay, but they don’t show up very often anymore. The Rabite is made out of pewter, and pretty small, a little under an inch long. The necklace part is pretty short too, you might have to take the Rabite off and put it on another necklace if you want to wear it. I’d price the necklace at around 10-15 dollars, they’re not that common as I said before.

The other item is this Legend of Mana Millenium Edition. You can get the little Pearl and Elazul figures and the Jumi Jewelry Box that plays music here! It’s pretty neat, and a great collectible. For this set a good price is around 50 dollars or so.

So check those out if you’re looking for some nice LoM collectibles, they’re both at really low prices right now.

MMM – Old and Distant Memories

Posted on January 4th, 2010 by Dr. Sheexy

Since it’s the first music update after New Year’s I thought of doing some track that had “New” in the title, or hinted at that, but in the end I decided I didn’t like many of those as much as I like this track. So enjoy the music and think of the old and distant memories from last year I guess.
