Happy New Year!

Posted on December 31st, 2009 by Dr. Sheexy

– Hey everybody, it’s New Year’s Eve! There aren’t any good items for sale on eBay this week, so instead of linking goodies we just want to say we hope you had a great year and that you have a great next year too!

– Happy New Year!

– Happy New Year!

– Well guys, I did it. I kept my New Year’s resolution from last year to do a Shopping Channel update every day!

– But what about all those times when the update only said “oh there are no good items today”?

– Yeah, isn’t that like cheating?

– No way, c’mon. That was out of my control, and technically I still put an update up on the site.

– Are you going to keep the same resolution this year?

– Not sure yet, gonna have to think about that. What are you guys doing for your resolutions?

– I resolve to keep dancing!

– I resolve to still be a cat.

– Figures. Well, see you all next year, and Happy New Year again!

Sheexy’s Shopping Channel – Merry Christmas!

Posted on December 24th, 2009 by Dr. Sheexy

– Hey everyone, it’s Christmas Eve! If you’re looking for Christmas Presents in this Shopping Channel update you’re a bit late! That stuff will never ship on time! Plus there is practically nothing of interest on eBay at the moment, it’s probably cause Santa bought all the cool stuff and is bringing it to me for Christmas.

– Hohoho, not at all!

– Aww man.

– By the way, I happened to find these posters on eBay. There is a Secret of Mana poster and a Sword of Mana poster!. They would look nICE in any room! Hohoho, get it?

– Get what?

– That pun, didn’t you see it? With the bold text around ice, because I’m from the North Pole? Hohoho, I crack myself up!

– But Santa, we’re just speaking to each other, I can’t read the words coming out of your mouth! Is bolding your speech part of your magic powers?

– Well didn’t you hear the emphasis on the ice part of nice at least?

– Honestly, I wasn’t listening to a thing you said, I was thinking about what a good deal you can get on these Legend of Mana Manga if you make a best offer of around 20 dollars.

– Hohoho, someone is getting coal again this year!

– Again?

– Well, I’ve got to leave now, you know, lots of presents to deliver! Hohoho, Merry Christmas, and I hope you’ve all been better than Sheexy has!

– Merry Christmas everyone!

Mana Music Monday

Today’s track is from Secret of Mana, and it’s the music that plays while you’re adventuring around the Ice Country. I’ve always liked this track, it really has a Wintery feel to it.

Sheexy’s Shopping Channel

Posted on December 17th, 2009 by Dr. Sheexy

– Hey everyone, we’re back with great deals! I’d like to start this update off by again bringing up the great store run by japan-ssdyuk!

– They are truly a master merchant.

– That they are, just look at these amazing deals they’ve got! The Legend of Mana Ultimania Guide for 99 cents! The Legend of Mana Manga complete set for around 9 dollars a piece! And the best deal of the bunch: The Seiken Densetsu 3 Prologue Book complete with the cards and stickers for only 99 cents!

– What a deal, it’s practically a steal!

– No rhyming.

– Aww.

– It might seem expensive, but this Seiken Densetsu 3 Test ROM is actually around 200 dollars cheaper than you would normally find it. This is also a great deal on the usually expensive Seiken Densetsu Cartridge, Box and Manual.

– I might not be allowed to rhyme, but you can’t keep the rhythm from me, I’m pushing CDs! In order now, Final Fantasy Adventure, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, Legend of Mana, Sword of Mana, Dawn of Mana and Heroes of Mana! The ones that are over 20 dollars aren’t really the best deal, but I just wanted to list all the games. No Children of Mana though, you have to go to iTunes for that!

– And to wrap it all up, a random assortment of items. A Sword of Mana Postcard, or a Poster instead. And also this Seiken Densetsu 3 Guide that I have never seen before. That would make a great Christmas present for me.

– I don’t think your parents read your website.

-Yeah, probably not. Anyways, see you all next week for the Christmas Eve update! Definitely by that point, and probably by this point you won’t get stuff in time for the Holidays, but I dunno cause shipping always surprises me!

Mana Music Monday

Y’know, I really love the music in Heroes of Mana, I think it might have some of the best music in the series.
Not much else to say, other than I hope you enjoy the music!

Shopping Channel

It’s that time of the week again, but eBay seems to have missed the memo! There isn’t much worth mentioning, so this is going to be a really short update. The first thing I’ve got is this Secret of Mana Complete with bonus English Guidebook. It’s a really good deal considering all of the stuff is there and in good condition. This Secret of Mana Complete is also a good deal for the quality of the items. There is also This One, but it’s already got some bids on it so the price might not stay low for long. And finally I’d like to bring up the Legend of Mana Manga 1-5. If you make an offer on these you can get them for even cheaper than they already are! Ok that’s it for now, see you all next week!

MMM – Sacrifice Part 3

Posted on December 8th, 2009 by Kassidy Kearey

One of my favourite tracks from SD3’s Soundtrack is sadly one that is the most difficult to get to in the game (aside from the ending themes, that is, of course). It reminds me a lot of Prayer of the Arctic Circle (for obvious reasons, ne Kikuta-san?), and very good for getting the adrenaline pumping without having to jump out of an aeroplane.

This remix in particular is by a doujin musician called Levo Lution, and is off the 2003 compilation Lestia.

Sheexy’s Shopping Channel

Posted on December 3rd, 2009 by Dr. Sheexy

– Hey, it’s that time of the week and I’m back with Lil’ Cactus again! Y’know, the holiday season is upon us, and I’m pretty sure Seiken Densetsu merchandise is at the top of everyone’s wish list!

– Not very sure.

– Ok, so maybe that’s just my list, but the point is, if you want to get Seiken Densetsu presents for people you’re gonna need to start shopping now! So without further ado, let’s get started!

– Favorite Art Book.

– Yup, everyone loves the CoM/DoM Art Book! And by the way, watch for the seller of most of these items, japan-ssdyuk! When their auctions say “make an offer” they aren’t kidding! See what kind of deal you can get, just send them your price, there’s nothing to lose and great prices to gain! They also carry nearly ever SD book you can imagine, as well as tons of other anime and game related books, so check out their store to see what they’ve got!

– Start making offers.

– That’s a good suggestion, so here are some select items from japan-ssdyuk that I’d reccomend: Legend of Mana Manga Complete Set if you make an offer you can get a really good deal! If you want the newer releases go for these two (One, Two) as far as I know the old ones and the new ones are the same. There is also this Dawn of Mana Piano Book for really cheap, I didn’t even know this existed, so now I have to update the Merchandise Section again… dangit, more work…

– Never ends!

– That’s true. But you know what does end? These auctions eventually.

– That was terrible.

– That’s true, but you know what else is terrible? These auctions eventually end.

– Just stop.

– Ok fine. Here is a really rare item! The Seiken Densetsu 3 Sample ROM, it’s probably just a buggy version of the real thing, but it’s rare and collectible!

Children poster, Secret poster.

– Speaking of Secret of Mana, there are lots of good auctions for stuff related to it right now! How about some complete in box copies (One, Two, Three, Four). Or the complete… German Version… notable for having a box as big as a book, because it comes with a guidebook inside of it. Or just pick up the Manual and Map/Poster. Be sure to check out each of those SoM auctions mentioned, because each one has a different price and quality of item.

– Ok done now.

– Yeah, I think that’s all we’ve got for today, we’ll see you next week with more deals! And if you’ve got any questions about merchandise just contact me and I’ll help you out!

MMM – The Fairy Child

Posted on November 30th, 2009 by Dr. Sheexy

Kassidy’s wife had a baby! It’s a little girl, born at 11:10 weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces or 3460 grams. She doesn’t have a name yet, but Kassidy will probably let us all know what it is when it’s decided. Congratulations Kassidy!

So in order to celebrate I’ve picked out The Fairy Child from Secret of Mana, it’s the happy theme used whenever Salamando pops up or when you fix Kakkara’s water. And look, we have three versions of it!

I wonder what Kassidy’s daughter will think if she ever learns that a website celebrated her birth by listening to old videogame music.

We should maybe keep this a secret from her.
