Bestiary - Chibi Devil

Chibi Devils usually come in two varieties in the Seiken Densetsu series: Imps or Chibi Devils and Gremlins. They are small pink and purple demonic cherubs which fly around and carry a fork as a weapon. They generally have access to magic abilities and have been known to phase in and out of dimensions.

Final Fantasy Adventure

Chibi Devil

Chibi Devils in FFA always found themselves paired with Rabites. Because of this they are found much earlier in this game than they are in the others. Chibi Devils did little more in this game than float around the screen randomly. They are found around the Topple area and in Wendel when Julius attacks.

Secret of Mana

In SoM Chibi Devils are classified as Undead.

Imp / Chibi Devil (J)

These creatures are found in Northtown and the Palace of Darkness. They can cast exploder and shoot fireballs from their mouths. During battle they will throw their forks to attack and occasionally teleport around. Both a Javelin and a ring in the game carry the Imp name.

Gremlin

These greenish grey souped up versions of Imps are found in the Grand Palace. These ones do not utilize magic, but are much more dangerous with their forks.

Seiken Densetsu 3

In SD3 Chibi Devils are classified as Demons.

Chibi Devil

These little guys have an ability called Chibikko Balloon in which they shoot a bubble which will shrink one of your characters. A Chibi Devil Eye item is dropped by them which will use body change on the enemy hit with it. Sometimes Evil Shamans will summon them. Their eyes can be used to cast Body Change on an enemy.

Gremlin

These greenish grey versions of Chibi Devils can reflect most magic attacks away from themselves, only being harmed by light magic. They posess shade magic and are more adept with their fork than a normal Chibi Devil. Sometimes Evil Shamans will summon them.

Legend of Mana

In LoM Imps are classified as Demonic.

Imp / Chibi Devil (J)

Described by the game as a tiny demon with a tiny spear these little guys use the fork as their main method of attack. They also posess a bubble attack which can shrink your character as seen in SD3. As pets they appear their normal pink color, but as enemies they are greyish green like gremlins in other games. Their syncro effect causes enemies to drop more EXP.

Gremlin

In Legend of Mana the Gremlin version of Chibi Devils returns as a mini-boss in the “Daddy’s Broom” event. He is found in the junkyard and is not much different from the normal imps.
